Jeffrey Friedberg and the The Bossy Frog Band thrill young audiences with their banjo-driven, costume-character-dancing, 100% interactive music concert. Their show has been enjoyed by over 100,000 children and families! And, their latest recording, “15 Songs Every Kid Should Know (and will LOVE!),” is a Parents’ Choice Award winner. It’s the fun finale to the Summer Reading Game. Sign up for your reading log anytime until August 18. Share your reading with the Children’s Room helpers often and collect your treats.
Family Yoga Workshop

All ages are welcome to join us for a special Family Yoga class in August! Bring one partner or many to explore the joy of partner poses as well as some breathing and mindfulness practices. These activities will build connection and trust, cooperation and communication with your loved ones in a safe place. Kristy Cohen, E-CYT 200, CKYT, has taught yoga and mindfulness practices for over a decade in community spaces, studios and schools. She holds an M.S. ED K-6, and is passionate about sharing these practices with children of all ages. Most recently she was certified by Little Flower Yoga: Yoga & Mindfulness Practices for Children. Her teaching is inspired by LFY philosophy and methodology.
Croton Reservoir and Dam Hike

Easy 2-mile hike north along the Aqueduct and atop the beautiful Croton Dam. Meet near the restrooms at the parking lot at Croton Gorge Park, Rte. 129, Cortlandt, NY 10567. The leader of the hike will discuss the history and construction of the Old Croton Aqueduct and the features of the Croton Dam, the trailhead of the Aqueduct Trail.
Bird Walk: Croton Point Park

Beginners encouraged. Call or email Saw Mill River Audubon for directions and if you want to borrow a pair of binoculars for the walk; otherwise, no RSVP needed. We go rain or shine! Meet in the ballfield parking area.
