JULY 25 - CROTON RIVER COMMUNITY PADDLE

GRAB YOUR PADDLE & JOIN THE BOAT FLOTILLA
Presentation by Historians & River Enthusiasts, Scott Craven & Marc Cheshire 
Due to the expected rain and poor air quality, we have rescheduled the Croton River Community Paddle to next Saturday, July 25.                                           
New Date: Saturday, July 25  
Time: 10 AM -12:30 PM
Location: Event Begins & Ends at the Echo Canoe Launch (Train Parking Lot)
 
Paddlers meet at Echo Canoe launch and paddle together up the river. Join local historians and river enthusiasts, Scott Craven along with Village Historian, Marc Cheshire for a river talk. Discover the Nature, History & Beauty of the Croton River.  Afterwards back on shore, enjoy light refreshments with your fellow paddlers.

Session 1:Tuesday, June 30 – Friday, July 10 (No Camp July 3)
Session 2: Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 24
Session 3: Monday, July 27 – Friday, August 7
 

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Recreation and Parks Department to:

  • Create and maintain aesthetically pleasing, safe, healthful, and enjoyable areas for residents;
  • Provide positive, cost-effective leisure opportunities which promote individual and community wellness for children, youth, adults and seniors and to;
  • Promote the preservation and appropriate utilization of the Village’s recreational resources.

Adopted by the Recreation Advisory Committee and Recreation & Parks Department on March 9, 2004.

A valid Recreation Photo ID is required for use of Village parks and conservation areas. Recreation ID cards are available to both Village residents and Croton-Harmon School District residents. Residents can obtain a Recreation Photo ID by submitting an online form or by completing the form in-person at the Recreation Department Office, located in the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, available Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM.
