Arts & Humanities Advisory Council

On May 20, 2019, the Village Board of Trustees established the Arts & Humanities Advisory Council (AHAC) to work to support increased public awareness and appreciation for the arts, the integration of art into our public spaces, and to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our local arts community. The AHAC shall advise the Village on matters that the Village may refer to the Council and may, from time to time, bring relevant matters to the Village’s attention for consideration related to the charter of the Council.

In addition to the foregoing, it shall promote and stimulate interest and participation Village-wide in arts and humanities events in public venues, and may work not only with the Village, but with the schools, private corporations, individuals, non-profit organizations, and other community groups to do so.
