On March 26, 2025, the Village Board of Trustees adopted a local law to no longer serve as an assessment unit beginning with the 2026 tax year. Assessment will be undertaken by the Town of Cortlandt for village taxes; the Town already provides assessment functions for town, county and school taxes.
