Whereas: on August 29, 1997 Andrew Zelman, Chairperson, of the Village Greenway Committee, forwarded to the Village Board the final version of the Greenway Vision Plan for the Village as approved by the Village’s Greenway Committee which culminated a process began over four years ago and was funded in part by a Greenway Model Communities grant from the Hudson River Valley Greenway Communities Council; and
 
Whereas: on November 3, 1997 the Village Board of Trustees as Lead Agency  determined that the adoption of the Greenway Vision Plan as an amendment to the Village’s Master Plan would not have a significant impact on the environment and the Board adopted a Negative Declaration with respect to this matter and,
 
Whereas: on November 13, 1997 the Waterfront Advisory Committee found the Greenway Vision Plan consistent with the Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan (LWRP) based upon the Coastal Assessment Form prepared by the environmental planning firm of Allee, King, Rosen and Fleming, Inc., and
 
Whereas: in a letter dated December 11, 1997 Planning Commissioner P. Lynn Oliva recommends that the Village adopt the proposed Greenway Vision Plan as an amendment to the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Master Plan and found it consistent with the policies in Patterns for Westchester: The Land and the People, the Village’s Master Plan adopted in 1977, that it supported the policies of the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan, and that the objectives support the initiatives of Historic river Towns of Westchester to promote tourism and economic development in the region,
 
Now Therefore Be It Resolved: that the Greenway Vision Plan is hereby adopted as an amendment to the Village Master Plan.
