Croton-on-Hudson Tropical Storm Isaias Advisory #1

Situation Overview

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias, which is expected to impact our region tomorrow. The Village has been in communication with Con Edison and the Westchester County Office of Emergency Management regarding preparations and expected impacts. All residents are encouraged to review the information posted on the Village's hurricane preparedness webpage.

At this time, the Village is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning and a Flash Flood Watch. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Winds are forecast to be in the range of 35 to 45 MPH, with gusts of 60 MPH at times. The timeframe for these winds is Tuesday afternoon and evening. There is also the possibility for isolated tornadoes to occur.
