Traffic Advisory - Demystifying Medicare Workshop

The Demystifying Medicare Program, a collaboration between the Village of Croton Recreation Department and Croton Free Library, will take place this Sunday, October 15 from 1:30 - 4:30PM at the Croton Free Library.  Walk-ins are welcome.

Please leave some extra time to get to the Library on Sunday! It is a very busy day in Croton, with several different events going on, so you may need a few more minutes than usual.

Upper Village Traffic Advisory

On Sunday, October 15, 2023, the Harry Chapin Memorial Run/Walk Against Hunger and the Croton Business Council Oktoberfest will take place in the Upper Village. 

The Harry Chapin Memorial Run Against Hunger will be starting and finishing at Croton Harmon High School; a section of Old Post Road from Maple Street to Veterans Corners will be closed from 6 AM to 1 PM. The 5k Run begins at 8:30 AM, the 10K Run begins at 10 AM, and the 1-Mile Fun Run begins at 11:45 AM. 

The following streets will be impacted by race traffic:

  • Batten Road
  • Cedar Lane
  • Cleveland Drive 
  • Gerstein Street
  • Nordica Drive
  • Old Post Road South 
  • Quaker Bridge Road
  • Route 129
  • Truesdale Drive
  • Jacoby Street

The Croton Business Council Oktoberfest will take place from Noon to 6:00 PM on Grand Street. A portion of Grand Street will be closed to traffic from the Dummy Light (at the intersection of Grand Street & Old Post Road South) to Mount Airy Road from approximately 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Residents and visitors are encouraged to park at the Croton-Harmon Train Station parking lot and use the Oktoberfest shuttle bus to reduce parking demand in the Upper Village.
