Explore light, shadow, color, and composition. Hone your art skills of observation, gesture, color mixing, and brushstroke. Students will learn from demonstrations, examples of art, and class discussions. Enjoy both drawing and painting in the medium of your choice, including landscape, still-life, and abstracts.
 
Printmaking Workshop - 4 Wednesdays, Feb 28 - Mar 20

Discover innovative ways to make handmade prints in this 4-week workshop. Focus on printmaking techniques such as linocut, monotype and stenciling. Learn step by step how to plan an image, design a pattern, carve a linocut, print 2-color and multi-block linocuts, monotype, while finding out about a variety of papers for printmaking, from delicate rice paper to sturdy Stonehenge paper.
