Officer Profile: P.O. Edwin Jandres

Police Officer Edwin Jandres

Police Officer Edwin Jandres joined the Croton on Hudson Police Department in 2020, after serving with the Newburgh NY Police Department for one year. Prior to becoming a police officer, Edwin received his Bachelor of Arts with a major in Criminal Justice. Wanting to work in Westchester County, Officer Jandres canvassed many police departments, but he felt drawn to the close-knit community of Croton. He believes there is something truly special about Croton and is extremely happy serving our Village.

Officer Jandres was drawn to police work by his strong desire to help people, especially those who do not have someone else to go to for help.  He likes to be there for others in their time of need. Officer Jandres is fluent in both English and Spanish and he enjoys interacting with our Hispanic community, and meeting and getting to know all members of our community. He is always available to talk with anyone who has any questions or concerns. Along with his regular patrol duties, Officer Jandres served on the 2020 New York State mandated Police Reform Task Force, in Croton and he is a well-respected and valued member of the Croton Police Advisory Committee.

Officer Jandres’ family is extremely proud of and supportive of his service to our community. When he is off duty, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, watching movies, and watching Fútbol, specifically FC Barcelona.
