Narrative: Patrols responded and canvassed various locations in the Village to assist other agencies regarding a missing endangered Yorktown resident. The party was located outside of Croton.

Narrative: Patrols responded to a public area on Maple Street for a report of a possible sick raccoon. Patrols located the mammal in a sewer and deemed it healthy, with no action taken.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on South Riverside Avenue after a caller reported their 2-year-old dog jumped out of the car and ran off. Patrol, with the assistance of a Croton resident, canvassed and located the canine. After a short foot pursuit and some enticement with an officer's personal meal, the dog was reunited with its owner.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Route 9 South for a report of a loose dog in the roadway. Patrols canvassed the area with negative results.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Cook Lane for a report of two loose dogs in the area. Patrols canvassed the area with negative results.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a location on Elliott Way to assist a Cortlandt Manor resident who had locked their keys inside the vehicle with a baby inside. Patrols gained entry without incident.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a commercial establishment on South Riverside Avenue after receiving a 911 hang up call. Patrol checked the location and found no personnel on the scene.

Narrative: An individual turned in property found on the street in the Village. The owner, a Croton resident, was contacted and retrieved the property.

Call Type: Fraudulent Activities 
Narrative: Croton PD was notified by a Croton resident that someone took out an insurance policy on his motor vehicle. The resident had contacted Progressive, who stated that the policy was taken out online and that the credit card used for payment was declined. Some unknown person(s) used his name, and the wrong social security number, to take out the policy. The resident provided their Travelers Insurance policy and plate number. The resident claims that neither he, nor his wife, nor his insurance broker, switched insurance companies. Resident was advised to communicate with Progressive, his insurance company and his insurance broker. The resident has had no financial loss at this time.

Narrative: Patrols checked on a Croton resident in the area of Albany Post Road, who dialed 911 and hung up. Patrol reported the person had accidentally dialed.

Call Type: Property Damaged   
Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Elmore Avenue after a Croton resident reported damage to the gate at the end of the roadway. Caller believes the damage was caused from the amount of snow being pushed against it by the plow. Caller is concerned because now the people have easier access to the back of Van Wyck Plaza. Caller thinks the fence belongs to the Van Wyck property owner. Patrol affixed more caution tape along the fence. DPW was notified.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Farrington Road for a Croton resident reporting a tree fell on her property which she believes may have been done intentionally. The issue was resolved.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Harrison Street for a residential burglar alarm. Alarm was accidentally set off by a contractor.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a location on Wayne Street after a resident called reporting a male parked a white Mercedes Benz in front of their residence and walked towards the vacant apartments attached to the DB Mart on South Riverside Avenue. The caller was not sure if he gained access to the vacant apartments. Patrols checked the apartments and all appeared secure.

Narrative: Patrol was notified by a Croton resident who received calls from a party stating he is with the IRS and claiming she will have a warrant issued for her arrest if they do not pay them money. The resident was also indicated that someone attempted to open a BJs card in their name. The resident has not had any financial loss at this time.

Narrative: Patrols responded to an area of Ackerman Court after a Croton resident reported a man with a Con Edison ID knocked on their front door asking questions about the residence. When the Con Ed employee left, the resident called Con Edison to ask why they have people going door to door during a pandemic. Con Ed said they did have an employee under the name but no record of him being in that area going door to door. Con Ed confirmed the person is a Con Ed employee.

Narrative: Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle for a V&T violation. The vehicle failed to stop and fled north on North Riverside Avenue at a high rate of speed. Vehicle was described as silver/gray, possibly an older model Honda or BMW.  Patrols lost sight of the vehicle in the vicinity of Baltic Place. NYSP was also notified. Negative results on the canvass.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a location on Cleveland Drive for a report of a low hanging wire. Patrol coiled the wire up and the utility company was notified.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a commercial location on Maple Street for a report of a vehicle that is parked unoccupied with all the windows down and it is raining. Patrol located the vehicle owner who was unaware of the condition.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Route 9 North for a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident. No injuries to the occupant; a report will be filed.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a location on Half Moon Bay Drive for a report of an interior hissing sound. Scene was handled by CFD and Con Edison.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Route 9 North for a report of a disabled vehicle blocking one lane of traffic. Patrol canvassed the area with negative results.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a location on Grand Street for a report of a utility wire down. Patrol coiled the wire up and the utility company was notified.

Narrative: Patrols respond to an area on Route 129 for a report of a traffic condition near the Croton Dam. Patrol found no traffic problem in the Village and notified the proper agencies.

Narrative: Patrols and the Croton FD responded to a commercial area on Veterans Plaza for a report of an outside odor of gas. Scene was handled by CFD; no source was located.

Narrative: Patrol responded to an area on Albany Post Road after receiving a call from a Croton resident reporting a neighbor had been cutting and removing trees from his property. Patrol confirmed that trees were cut and removed but were not presently happening. Patrol spoke to the neighbor who was alleged to be the cause of the tree removal and advised them.

Narrative: Croton PD was notified by a Croton resident that someone took out an insurance policy on their motor vehicle. The resident had received a packet from Progressive Insurance in the mail. Progressive stated that the policy was taken out online and it did have her correct personal information associated. The resident provided their State Farm Insurance policy and plate number. Resident was advised to communicate with Progressive, her insurance company and her insurance broker. The resident has had no financial loss at this time.

Narrative: Croton PD was notified by a Croton resident that someone was attempting to hack into her computer. Patrol assisted the Croton resident who has had no financial loss at this time.

Narrative: Patrol and Croton EMS responded to Bari Manor for a Croton resident needing medical assistance. Party was transported to the hospital.

Narrative: Patrol responded to the trails off Cleveland Drive after a resident reported property being abandoned on the trail. Patrol canvassed the area with negative results.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a commercial area on Croton Point Avenue after a Croton resident reported she was harassed. Party stated she was followed by a vehicle to the police station. Party then drove out of the police station down Grand Street where an occupant may have thrown something at her car. Vehicle described as a black sedan occupied by a male and female. The area was canvassed with negative results.

Narrative: Patrols responded to an area on Route 9 South after receiving a call from a party regarding her motor vehicle, which had been disabled a few hours ago on the exit ramp at Croton Point Avenue. She had called a tow company to respond to tow the vehicle and they were unable to locate the vehicle. Patrols canvassed the area and located the vehicle on the Municipal Place exit off Route 9 South. Vehicle was removed from the roadway by the tow company and the owner was notified.

Narrative: Croton FD and Patrol responded to an area of Stevenson Place for a residential fire alarm. Croton FD handled the scene.

Narrative: Croton FD and Patrol responded to a residence on Nordica Drive after a resident called reporting a contractor was running gas-powered equipment inside their home. Croton FD handled the scene; there were no reported injuries.

Narrative: Patrol responded to a commercial establishment on Maple Street after an employee called regarding a patron who had returned to the location multiple times. The party had left the scene prior to PD arrival. Patrols, after canvassing the area, located the party and advised he is not welcome in the establishment any longer.
