Narrative: Shoprite staff reports a suspicious male at location possibly homeless.  Caller describes male as Hispanic or Asian, approx 5'7'' wearing a winter hat.  Employee states it appears he may be trying to set up camp on the south side of the store.  Patrols dispatched and report locating male and advising him he cannot stay there.  Male complied and left area.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton EMS on a lift assist.  Patrols also responded to residence.  Patrols report task completed by EMS personnel without incident.

Narrative: Caller reports he is a Chief of a Fire Dept. in the lower Westchester area and earlier today a former employee was served with a termination of services letter.  He indicates he is concerned for the employee’s safety being the former employee reportedly made a verbal threat that he will harm himself.  He also reports the employee made veil threats to him as well.  Patrols dispatched to the residence of the former employee.  Patrol officers met and spoke with the employee.  He indicated he was upset being his retirement is final but was ok.  Patrols encouraged him to contact the NYS Police & Firemen's Retirement System in order to clarify any benefits due.   Fire Chief may follow up with local police department where he received the threat.

Narrative:  Caller an employee of a local business reports an unknown individual has called the business multiple times today making threats.  It is unknown who the subject may actually be.  Caller reports the business employees do not have a record of the number or name in their system.  Croton patrols dispatched to the business.   Patrols interviewed employee and it is still unknown who is initiating the calls.  No further action at this time.

Narrative: Patrols stood by while parents exchanged custody of their daughter.  Mother gave custody of her daughter to local resident.  Patrols report mother wanted to let the Croton Police know her daughter’s father put a GPS type tracking device in their daughters brown jacket.  She reports she removed the device from her daughter’s jacket. 
She was going to raise the issue with the Family Court and her daughters Guardian Ad Litem.   She believes the device was really being used to track her whereabouts.  She indicates she will follow up with her private attorney, Family Court and her daughters court appointed attorney as well.  She was also advised to provide the Mt. Vernon Police Department with a copy of the temporary order of protection.

Narrative: Resident requesting Croton EMS for her husband who is having medical complications.  She reports he had surgery five days ago.  Croton EMS and patrols responded to the residence.  Aided transported to PMHER by CEMS.

Narrative: Alarm company reports the entry/exit motion detector activated for a local business.   Patrols responded and report the key holder is on scene.  Alarm company requested a cancellation for police response.  Patrols dispatched to business. Patrols interviewed an employee who stated, she had just finished setting the alarm and was traveling down South Riverside when she was notified that the alarm had gone off. She then returned and attempted to reset the alarm. She relayed to me that the alarm has been having issues lately and that the alarm company had been notified. Exterior appears secure, confirmed accidental activation. Unit clear.

Narrative: Resident reports being out by the new building on Albany Post Road.  He noticed lights around the building flickering and thought it was suspicious.  Patrols responded and met caller and patrols checked the building exterior.  Patrols report building is secure but the corner lights were flickering.

Narrative: Caller states there is an injured raccoon that she pulled off to the side of the roadway.  She states the animal can barely move and needs to be put down.  Patrol dispatched.  Patrol unfortunately put the animal down.

Narrative: Caller reports she works for Westhab Management Company and a resident's daughter called to report her mother's apartment has a strong odor of gas.  60 Control notified and dispatched the fire department.  Con Edison on scene.  CFD and Con Edison Gas handling.

Narrative: Caller reports a man in an orange face mask walked into her backyard and looked into her dumpster.  She reports the man walked out of her backyard and down the double yellow line on Grand Street and urinated on the retaining wall alongside the Grand Street sharp turn.  Patrols dispatched and encountered the individual on South Riverside Ave who is known to police as a combative EDP homeless person. Subject involved requested a ride to the train station. Croton patrols transported subject to the Croton Harmon Train station without incident.

Narrative: Caller reports a man and a woman were walking a small black dog off its leash.  Caller reports he told the man he was breaking the law and the man said "I break a lot of laws".  Caller stated he lost sight of the couple and dog.  Patrol dispatched.  Patrol report the couple and dog are GOA.

Narrative: Resident in headquarters to report he has been the victim of a Con Edison bill pay scam. Resident reports he was contacted by someone pretending to be from Con Edison and that he had an unpaid balance.  Complainant states he made multiple separate payments to the fraudulent Con Edison totaling almost $5,000. Patrols conducted a preliminary investigation.  Investigation continuing.

Narrative: Store employee reports an attempted larceny in ShopRite. Patrol dispatched. While on scene staff reports the suspect a female left in a Cadillac.  Employee confronted the female and managed to recover the items without incident and advised her to not return to the supermarket.  Blotter only at this time.

Narrative: NYSP called reporting an elderly male struck by a motor vehicle while attempting to help someone back out of the driveway. Patrol dispatched, 60 Control already notified and dispatched CEMS responding. Patrol reports aided transported to a local area hospital. Accident report to be filed.

Narrative: Customer locked their keys inside of their 2013 Kia.  Croton patrols responded and were able to gain access without incident.

Narrative: Resident in HQ with his parents to report that he lent his parents car to a friend to go pick up her dad and never returned.  Her cell phone was off and he was worried something may have happened to her.  Resident then called her dad, who had no plans to get picked up by his daughter.  Resident now in HQ wanting to file an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge. While in HQ, his friend called and said she is driving back from Queens to Croton to drop off the car.  Owner advised her if she brought back the car tonight he would not press any charges. Condition Corrected.

Narrative: Resident of Old Post Road North said a young man wearing a baseball cap and a black jacket knocked on his door asking for help because his parents won’t give him his passport.  Patrols checked the area and located the male involved walking to H.Q.’s.  Parents contacted and were advised patrol will transport their son home. Patrols drove male resident back home to his parents without incident

Narrative:  Patrol reports he observed a vehicle exiting parking lot of local business.  When the operator of the Subaru Impreza pulled up to patrols he said he was doing donuts in the snow.  Patrol advised him to not do it again.

Narrative: Caller reports she was assisting her neighbor who lives on Farrington Road.  Resident reports she was shoveling snow when a woman from across the street on Farrington Road came out of her home and yelled at the caller.  The caller stated she didn't look up or engage the woman who yelled at her and made racist remarks.  The caller stated the woman then went back into her home.  Caller states she wanted to have the incident documented.

Narrative:  Father reports his son and daughter called him crying from his ex-wife's house and said they want to go home “mommy is acting crazy”. He is concerned for their safety and wants them to go home with him. Father has full custody of the children and this is the mother’s weekend for visitation.  He thinks she is acting very strange and reports his ex-wife took the kids IPhone's today and changed the numbers because she thinks they are being tracked.  The mother agreed to allow the children to leave for the night with their father.  Child Protective Services contacted and initiated a case and will be following up.
