Narrative: Caller reporting her carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm combination is going off.  No fire, smoke or symptoms reported.  60 Control notified and dispatched Croton Fire apparatus, patrols also responded to residence.  Patrols report Croton Fire personnel handling.

Narrative: A 911 hang up call was received at Croton Police Headquarters.  Patrols responded to private residence.  Patrols spoke with resident and confirmed a misdial.

Narrative: Resident reports seeing man and a van on his property via home security camera.  Patrols responded to residence and met with local exterminator contractor.  Resident also notified contractor will be providing service at home today.  Patrols also spoke with contractors at location.

Narrative: Village Clerk requested a green mini cooper be towed from parking space for unpaid tickets.  Patrols and local tow service responded.  Vehicle towed form lot.  Owner notified of his car being impounded.  Owner to pay fines before vehicle is released.

Narrative: Croton ambulance requested for a preschool child with a head laceration.  Croton patrols and ambulance responded to business.  Patrols report child being transported to local area hospital by Croton ambulance.

Narrative: Croton Fire apparatus dispatched by 60 Control to investigate a fire alarm at building 600.  Patrols on scene and report no fire at location.  Fire personnel on scene handling.  Patrols report alarm apparently activated due to an electrical issue.

Narrative: Staff in Shoprite reports warning a female to leave the store being she is no longer permitted to enter the property.  Patrols responded and report the woman involved has already been advised to leave by staff and she is no longer in the area.

Narrative: Alarm activation inside the premises. Alarm company representative said a person was on scene without the proper pass code. Patrol dispatched, reports no one on scene and the building is secure.

Call Type: Auto Accident
Narrative: 911 caller reporting a hit and run auto accident. Caller reports witnessing the accident on Route 9 South and is now behind the vehicle that left the scene.  Caller reports traveling South on Route 9A behind above listed vehicle. Hotline message put out with negative results. Patrols located accident which was about a mile north of the Senaqua exit. Patrol requested EMS for minor injuries.  Patrols report occupant refused further medical attention on scene.

Narrative: Patrol reports stopping a black Honda on Maple St and Old Post Rd South for driving erratically. Patrol observed the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed through Maple and Wood Road.  The operator, a 25 year old resident of Putnam Valley was issued six vehicle and traffic summonses for violating V&T sections 1174-A /Failure to stop for school bus, 1128-A /Move form lane unsafely,  306-B / Uninspected vehicle, 1152-A / Fail to yield to pedestrian, 1180-A / Speed not reasonable and prudent and Speeding / 1180-C.  Defendant due back in village court on 2/19/22.

Narrative:  Woman reportedly feeling like she is about to pass out. Croton patrols and ambulance dispatched to Van Wyck Plaza. Patrols report aided refused further medical treatment.

Narrative: 60 Control requesting our assistance with an emotionally distressed person at the train station. Patrol dispatched and report the Metropolitan Transportation Police are also on scene. Area was checked for subject but he was gone upon arrival.

Call Type: Auto Accident with deer
Narrative: Caller states a deer has been struck in the area of Route 129 and the village line. Caller further states there is no vehicle on scene but the deer is still alive. Patrol dispatched and report deer is outside of our jurisdiction in front of 375 Yorktown RD. State Police notified and responding.

Call Type: Suspicious Incident
Narrative: Resident reports he was in the Croton Diner approximately 20 minutes ago to pick up food.  While he was there, a young white female, in her 30's with blue eyes, long blonde hair, thin build, wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket mentioned she was not feeling well.  The resident asked the female if she was vaccinated or tested for Covid and a verbal argument ensued between them as both walked outside.  He states the female got close to him and coughed in his face.  He then states he left the diner parking lot and drove home, he did not see what car the female got into, nor does he recognize the female.

Narrative: 911 hang up received from Chase Bank. Upon call back, a male employee states it was a misdial.  Croton patrols responded to business and confirmed number dialed in error.

Narrative: Resident reports her Subaru Outback was struck by another vehicle while parked in the rear lot earlier in the morning.  Minor damage caused to her vehicle bumper.  Patrols to investigate and report to be filed.

Narrative: Resident reports her son’s debit card was stolen from vehicle then used at a local business establishment in the Van Wyck Plaza off Maple Street.  Patrols interviewed victims and investigation is continuing.

Call Type: Hazardous Condition
Narrative: Caller states she was leaving her office at location and smelled gas as soon as she walked outside.  60 control notified and CFD dispatched.  Patrols dispatched.  Patrols report CFD checked location and determined the smell was from the diesel trains from the station.

Location: Shoprite Supermarket – South Riverside Ave
Call Type: Suspicious Package
Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton Fire apparatus and ambulance to Shoprite Supermarket aisle 9 for a suspicious package.  A man apparently left the package and was acting strange according to staff.  Description of subject involved is a male white, 5'10", long hair, about twenty years of age, wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket.  Patrols responded and spoke with reporting person who stated that he saw a male drink from a coffee cup and place it behind some cans on the shelf.  Croton Fire personnel determined that it was just coffee and discarded item, No further police action required.

Call Type: Hit & Run Auto Accident
Narrative: Motorist reports she witnessed a white pick-up truck on highway rear end a vehicle spinning it around on Rt. 9 south on the Croton River bridge.  Patrols dispatched to the scene.  Caller reports her husband and she are trying to follow the white pick-up truck which they followed into Ossining. Ossining Police contacted and were looking for the white truck involved in the accident.   Registration check revealed the hit & run vehicle is registered to a Rye Brook resident.  Rye Brook Police notified of accident and were going to canvass their jurisdiction.  Surrounding police agencies notified and were having patrols look for the white pick-up truck which left the scene.  Tow company notified and responded for the Toyota which was disabled.    Patrols to continue investigation.

Narrative: Resident reports two cars are in the Shoprite Plaza parking lot doing donuts and making noise.  Patrols dispatched.  Caller called back and stated the cars left the area prior to police arrival.

Narrative: Assistant store manager reports receiving a strange call form a local number.  He reports the female was saying she was drugged.  Received second call from a local resident who called a local pharmacy indicating she has a medical condition.  Patrols dispatched to check on her welfare.   Patrols requested Croton ambulance respond for an elderly female with altered mental status.  Croton EMS ambulance dispatched to residence.  Resident transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Narrative: Resident reports a tan sedan has been parked in violation on Hastings Avenue.  Patrols checked area and issued seasonal parking ticket to vehicle.

Narrative: Resident reports two kids riding on a black, All-Terrain Vehicle and it just went down street onto Rt. 129.  Patrols assigned to check the area.  Patrols report ATV last headed onto Batten Road outside the village.

Narrative: Alarm operator reports an activated alarm from bay two, patrols dispatched to check building.  Alarm company requested to cancel patrols response a key holder is on scene and provided proper access codes. Owner called indicating patrols need not respond today to alarms, Croton patrols cancelled.  He reports an employee is responding to check the business.

Narrative: Store employee reports two vehicles are in the parking lot doing figure eights.   One is a black Rav4 the second is a beige sport utility.  Caller indicates the Rav 4 is leaving the lot exiting area now.  Patrols dispatched to check parking lot.  Employee reports the beige sport utility has stopped and parked in a space.  Vehicles were gone upon arrival.

Narrative: Resident reports his neighbor is blowing snow on her property.  Patrols responded spoke with caller on scene.  She thought her neighbor was purposely blowing the snow on to her property.  Patrols report caller was mistaken, snow drifts developed on her property.

Narrative: Caller reports he locked his keys in his running car when cleaning off the snow. Patrol dispatched and gained entry into the Honda Accord.

Narrative: Resident in HQ reports he was shopping at Shoprite and at some time between 9:15-9:50 AM someone took 20 canvass shopping bags from his shopping cart.  He did not see anyone take the bags.  He wanted incident blottered at this time.

Narrative: Caller reports she lost her wallet in Shoprite with her credit cards and her New York State issued driver license. She responded to HQ to pick up a Department of Motor Vehicle form, MV-78B for a new license.  She cancelled her credit cards and is hoping someone turns it in. She asked Shoprite to check the surveillance tapes but they told her only the Police can look at the tapes. If no one turns it in, she will request our assistance with the tapes.
