Call Type: Mutual Aid – Stolen Vehicle
Narrative: Real Time Crime reports a stolen vehicle on Route 9 South in Peekskill. Vehicle is a white Toyota Camry with TX registration. New York State Police called shortly after reporting they have a unit behind that vehicle on Route 9 south approaching Senasqua. They have not attempted to stop the vehicle yet. Units advised and responding to the area.  State Police called back to report they have the vehicle stopped just north of Senasqua and they have one custody.  Real Time Crime also reporting at the same time that they have been advised by NYPD that the vehicle was used in a car-jacking with a firearm.  Croton officers advised. State Police handled scene.

Narrative: Caller reports the father of her daughter has violated their child custody agreement by not turning over the daughter.  She provided the place of employment for the father on North Riverside Avenue.  Patrols dispatched and while patrols were in route, caller reported that her daughter’s grandmother came outside and turned over custody of the daughter to her.

Narrative: Caller reports there is an individual peddling for money on the exit ramp at Route 9 south and Municipal Place. Caller says the individual is well dressed and has their GMC sport utility parked in the roadway.  Caller says there appears to be a whole family of children in the vehicle and the individual is stopping cars going by and asking for money. Caller also says the person is peddling gold chains. Caller says he gave the person $20 and the person proceeded to complain to him that it wasn't enough. Patrols dispatched. Patrols report all parties are all gone from area.

Narrative: Peekskill resident in police headquarters reports that she sold a camera with lenses on Facebook marketplace on December 3, 2021 and the individual never paid her for the property.  The Facebook profile of that person is gone and the delivery signature is a scam. She doesn't know the person's identity and the address came back to a vacant building. She contacted Facebook marketplace who told her she has to deal with UPS as they are the ones that sent the package.  Caller went to the UPS store on South Riverside and they told her to obtain a police report.  She filed a supporting deposition and was given a report number. She was to follow up with UPS. Case report to be filed.

Narrative: Caller reports an individual was sitting in the shade of a tree just north of the bath house at the Croton landing with a hooded sweatshirt on and a samurai sword. He believes the sword is unsheathed. He reports the individual is not waving the sword around or being threatening in that manner. No description on the individual other than hooded sweatshirt. Croton patrols dispatched and reports the individual is a 12 year old male and the sword is a toy. Youth was with his father, who was fishing. No violations observed.

Narrative: Resident requesting a welfare check on his daughter, in the Half Moon Bay Complex.  He is aware of a prior incident and states his daughter is angry with him.  He says he called the St. Vincent's Crisis Team and they told him he should call the Croton police to send them for a welfare check. Patrols dispatched and report speaking with his daughter who appeared fine and did not want any help.  Desk Officer contacted original caller and advised him of the situation. Father to follow up with Crisis Team.

Narrative: Local priest called to report that some of his parishioners are getting phone calls asking for money claiming to be him. He provided a phone number the unknown person was calling from as well.  He was advised that if anyone did send money to contact us. Blotter only at this time.

Narrative: Night supervisor from CVS believes two males that are in the store have stolen from the store in the past. She states that she called her manager who told her to contact the police. Patrols dispatched to store and report the manager recognized the party from a past larceny but does not wish to press charges. Manager would like us to notify the party that he is not welcomed back in the store. Patrol indicated subject involved was advised not to return to the store.

Narrative: Caller reports a strong outside odor of gas.  She was transferred to 60 Control and patrols responded to the area.  Fire apparatus and Con Edison Gas on scene handling.

Narrative: Croton patrols report stopping a 2006 gray Kia Spectra for traffic infractions.   eJustice shows vehicle registration suspended back in 2019 and an expired registration.  The owner/operator’s license was revoked.  The operator, 53 years of age residing in Poughkeepsie NY was placed under arrest and processed roadside.  The vehicle was impounded and towed.   Summonses issued to the driver for violating Vehicle & Traffic Laws, Operating with a Suspended Registration / 512, No insurance in effect / 319-1, Expired Registration 401-1A, Expired Inspection / 306-B and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd / 511/1A.

Narrative:  Caller reports a dispute between himself and an employee of auto repair over a possible motor vehicle accident. He states he is a delivery driver and an employee of the auto business is accusing him of striking a vehicle in their lot which he claims he did not do.  Patrol dispatched to investigate.

Narrative: Resident in police headquarters reporting that she turned in her leased vehicle at the Honda dealership in Yorktown about 5 months ago due to the fact that she could not pay for it anymore. She further reports that she did not take her New York license plates off of the vehicle when she returned it.  She indicated that sometime in December the listed vehicle along with the plates got a toll violation on the in New York City.  She further stated when she contacted the Honda dealership they knew nothing about the car or the plates.  Department Motor Vehicle form for the lost license plates issued.

Narrative: Caller reporting that she turned on the oven and there is a strong odor of gas. 60-Control notified the Croton Fire Department and fire apparatus and patrols responded. Con Edison Gas and the fire department handling.

Narrative: Alarm company reports a residential burglary alarm at the front door. Croton patrol dispatched to residence. Patrol reports no answer at the front door. Home owner was contacted via cell number and stated she is right around the corner walking the dog. Patrol report making contact with home owner. All in order set off in error.

Narrative: Resident requesting a police officer to help him, lift his wife off of the ground. Patrol notified. Croton EMS personnel heard the call over the radio and also responded to residence.  Lift assist completed.

Call Type: Parking Issue
Narrative: Parking Enforcement Officer reports issuing a handicap parking summons to a 2018 gray Subaru Outback in the Shoprite plaza.  As the officer was leaving, the owner of vehicle came out to her car, saw the summons, and then tried to give it back.  She indicated she has a handicap parking permit and would not accept the summons.  Parking Enforcement Officer informed the female, she could not take the summons back at which point the woman then drove off.  Desk Officer attempted to contact female on phone with negative results.

Narrative: Caller requests assistance with a vehicle lockout, her keys and two children are locked inside her vehicle a 2012 red Ford Explorer.  Patrols report entry gained without incident.

Narrative: Alarm company reports a commercial burglary alarm at commercial building, motion detected in office.  Croton patrols dispatched and report no answer at the door.  No answer on business phone number or owner's cell phone number.  Patrols checked exterior and report building is secure.

Narrative: Resident reports a verbal & physical altercation with her daughter because caller took daughter's phone and I- pad away when she caught her daughter chatting with an adult male online.  She states her daughter pulled her hair and is out of control.  Patrols dispatched and reported both involved parties stated the altercation was verbal only and no offenses were committed.  Patrols completed a domestic incident report.

Narrative: Caller reports her elderly mother fell and is injured. Patrols dispatched to residence.  Caller transferred to 60 Control who dispatched Croton ambulance to residence. Croton ambulance personnel handling. Aided transported to local hospital.

Narrative: Caller says he locked his keys in the vehicle. Croton patrols report gaining entry into the vehicle without incident.

Narrative: Owner of restaurant states there is a pick-up truck illegally parked on the corner of N Riverside and Farrington. Patrol dispatched and spoke to the owner of the vehicle.  Patrols report the vehicle a Chevrolet Silverado has one license plate that does not come back to the vehicle and it is listed as surrendered in ejustice.  Owner of the vehicle does not know why that license plate is on the vehicle and she does not know the person who is listed as having owned the license plate prior to surrender.   Patrols confiscated license plate. Rear license plate on the vehicle was valid to the vehicle. Vehicle owner issued a summons. Surrendered license plate secured by patrols.

Narrative: Caller states she is at the BP gas station and the cashier refuses to give her money for her winning lottery ticket. She indicated the cashier also refuses to give back her lottery ticket. Patrol dispatched and reports the caller was gone on arrival.  The cashier states he did not withhold her ticket, he just did not have enough money in the register to give to her tonight and asked her to come back tomorrow.

Narrative: New York State Police called in a third party noise complaint.  State Police report the third party caller reports, he heard a noise outside and if he goes out there I'm gonna shoot them, because I'm a veteran.  Croton patrols spoke with the complainant and checked the outside of the home with negative results.

Narrative: Caller reporting an intoxicated male at the corner of Maple and Olcott Ave. Patrol dispatched and requested Croton EMS for a highly intoxicated male. Patrols report the male party is alert but not responding to officers on scene. 60 Control notified ambulance personnel. Patrol reports aided being transported to a local hospital by Croton ambulance.

Narrative:  Resident reporting that his uncle is on his property and attempted to break into his residence by opening a window.  Caller further states, he has told his uncle several times that he is not welcomed at his home.  Patrols dispatched to the residence and report the uncle is homeless with nowhere else to go.  Patrols report after speaking with the uncle, that he would like to go to the homeless shelter in Peekskill.  Taxi called and responded to transport the uncle to the Jan Peek shelter in Peekskill.  Patrols completed a domestic incident report.

Narrative: Resident reporting that he got into a verbal dispute with his father.  He further stated, he does not feel safe in the house and is waiting for patrol units outside.  Patrol dispatched to residence.  Patrol report situation corrected.  Domestic incident report filed.

Narrative: Caller requested patrols conduct a welfare check upon her sister who she has not heard from.  Father of female missing reported his daughter missing.  Mobile Crisis Team also contacted.  Missing person was reportedly traveling out of state currently and will return to New York tomorrow.
 
On 2/26/22 patrols and Croton EMS / ambulance responded to the missing person’s residence and she was located.  Croton ambulance transporting missing person to a local area hospital.

Location: Municipal Building – Van Wyck Street
Call Type: Suspicious Person
Narrative: A hispanic male wearing a blue and white baseball cap and face mask, tattoos on his hands, went into the Village Office, engineering office and police headquarters to ask questions and was filming with his cell phone camera.  He stated his name was "guy" and was here at the building at the request of "the people."  He asked for the police department's phone number and left without incident. Message and photo of male sent on slack. 
 
Department of Public Works reports the same male just tried to enter the DPW building and was not permitted access.  The male left building lot in a 2020 gray Nissan Altima.

Narrative: Alarm company reports a commercial fire alarm at the Grand Street firehouse.  Alarm company relayed to 60-Control.   Patrols and Fire apparatus dispatched to the location.   Fire department personnel report the alarm was a false alarm.

Narrative: Yorktown Police called to report an erratic driver heading into Croton on Route 129.  Vehicle is a silver Hyundai.  Patrol dispatched to check area.  Patrols report the area canvassed and vehicle was not located.

Narrative:  Civilian in Headquarters and met with patrols regarding a potential stalking incident that has been ongoing with their daughter.  Parents concerned for their daughters welfare.   She reports her daughter is being harassed/stalked by an ex-boyfriend.  Parents provided background information and were advised to their daughter would need to be interviewed and to come to personally make a report.  Patrols followed up with daughter who indicated she no longer wants to communicate with her ex-boyfriend.  She was to inform her ex-boyfriend to cease all communication if he communicates in the future and to report any further incidents to the police.

Narrative: Resident reporting a two car motor vehicle accident.  eJustice check of one of the driver's, revealed he holds a non-driver ID only which is suspended, Patrols issued two uniform traffic tickets for: Unlicensed Driver / 509-1 and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree 511-1a.  The vehicle was turned over to the vehicle's owner.  Defendant was released on his own recognizance.  Patrols to file arrest and traffic accident report.

Narrative:  911 caller reporting a man is getting into a black Honda pickup truck and he appears intoxicated.  Patrols dispatched.  Caller reporting she is following the truck.  Caller advised to stop following the vehicle.  Caller states the vehicle is travelling south on Cleveland Drive from the Five Corners.  Patrols canvassed and found the vehicle parked and report the driver suffers from a medical condition and was not intoxicated.

Narrative: 60 Control called to report that SimpliSafe called them to report a burglary/ duress alarm on Wayne Street and that SimpliSafe was unable to reach the Croton Police Department.  Patrols dispatched.  SimpliSafe provided with the correct phone number of the Croton Police and verified that we dispatched patrols.  Patrol reports the alarm was set off in error by the homeowner.

Narrative: Resident said she saw a white car pull up to her neighbor’s house, a man got out and walked into the back yard. She thought it was suspicious and wanted us to know. Patrol dispatched, spoke to the caller and checked the exterior of the home. Vehicle and unknown male were gone upon arrival.   Resident said she will speak to her neighbor about it tomorrow.

Narrative: Caller reporting an erratic vehicle in the area and almost hit him.  Caller stated the car was a black Nissan Rouge bearing New York plates.   Patrol dispatched to the area. Patrol report canvassing the area with negative results.

Narrative:  Caller stated that there are kids on the Duck Pond and feels it is unsafe for them to be out there. Patrol dispatched and report there is no one on the pond.  Patrol further advised they spoke to someone on scene and stated they haven't seen anyone on the pond.

Narrative:  Resident reports there was suspicious activity in front of her house last night.  Caller states that a white car pulled up in front of her house, a female driver exited and walked around for a little while.  Resident states the female walked up to her fence and hung a coat on the caller's fence.  The caller was concerned her home was being "marked".  Caller states she has surveillance video.  Patrols dispatched and viewed the surveillance video.  Patrols found the white car parked in front of a neighbor’s house and that the owner of the car is dog sitting.  The owner of the white car found a child's coat and gloves on the ground and hung it on the caller's fence thinking it was theirs.

Narrative:  Patrol reports stopping a vehicle on the highway.  Vehicle is a blue BMW with an unreadable registration. Through further investigation the twenty three year old operator, of Peekskill NY was suspended.  Operator processed on scene for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree and released on his own recognizance.  Operator issued two summons with a return date of 03/09/2022.

Narrative: Hotline message out of Yorktown. Patrols to Bolo for a Blue/Green Volvo with New Hampshire license plates. The operator was involved in a domestic dispute with a knife.  Croton patrols advised to be on the look- out.  Yorktown Police reporting party was placed into custody.

Narrative: Hyde Park resident in Croton Police Headquarters reporting on 2/12/22 at about 8:00 pm, he was refused to communicate with his daughter through her mobile phone.  Father reports his ex-wife refused to present his daughter for a nightly communication which is ordered by the Westchester County Family Court. He reports his ex-wife indicated their daughter did not have the mobile phone and was sleeping over her cousins.   He wanted blotter event on file in order to present to Family Court in the future.
