Narrative: Resident reporting a loose German Shepard running around the parking lot of Van Wyck Plaza.  Patrol responded and caught the friendly dog placing her in the patrol vehicle.  Patrols transported the dog to the Veterinarian on S Riverside Ave, to check for a chip.  While at the Veterinarian the upset owner called reporting her dog went missing.  Patrol returned the dog to the owner on Hudson Street.

Narrative: Resident requests an officer be present for custody exchange of his daughter.  Patrols responded to residence and report the exchange was completed without incident.

Narrative:  Caller reporting he sold his property on South Riverside Ave mid-December of this year and the new owner is now cutting down the trees that were in front of the property.  The caller believes the trees being cut are actually the property of the Village of Croton.  DPW representative indicates the trees are Village owned trees and a permit would be required to cut them down.  Patrols report responding and telling new owner to stop cutting the trees and to follow up with the Village Engineering Department.

Narrative: Caller states someone hit his car and left the scene. Patrol dispatched, and will file a report. Patrol reports the witness did not obtained a license plate and there are no cameras.  Driver of other vehicle responded to Croton Police H.Q.’s indicating he was involved in prior accident.  Patrols completed accident report.

Narrative: Caller reports he is having a verbal dispute with his soon to be ex-wife. He is requesting the Police. Patrol dispatched, report incident was a property removal. Patrol stood by to assist. Patrol to file a domestic incident report.

Narrative: Manager of Shoprite stopped a woman outside trying to steal over $300 worth of groceries. Manager recovered the groceries and the woman described as being a black female wearing a green coat got into a white Cadillac then left.  Patrols on scene report management wanted blotter event of incident only.

Narrative: Resident called 911 then hung up.  Croton patrols responded to the residence and established contact with resident.  Patrols report call placed in error.

Narrative: USA Central called to report a commercial burglar alarm on Albany Post Rd.  Alarm company reports interior motion at professional office.  Patrols responded and checked the location finding the lower floor door open.  The downstairs was checked and the door was secured.  The owner was left a message.

Narrative: Resident reports a black Toyota has been parked near his home for about a week. Parking Enforcement Officer responded and marked the vehicle for 48 hour storage. Registration of vehicle expired, PEO to follow up.

Narrative: Caller reporting a two vehicle collision at station.  Croton patrols responded and report no occupants injured, patrols to complete an accident report.

Narrative: Motorist travelling on Route 9 north approximately 5-10 minutes in the past and observing two gray vehicles racing with each other.  He states as the vehicles were passing the (Montrose/Buchanan), exit.  He reports the vehicles were right next to one another and he believes he heard a gunshot coming from one of the vehicles.  He states he has dash cam video footage of the incident.  He states he lives near the NYSP Cortlandt barracks and will bring the footage there.  Information relayed to the NYSP.

Narrative: Caller reports a white BMW sedan being driven erratically on South Riverside Avenue.  Vehicle seen headed southbound near Municipal Place. Patrol canvassed area with negative results.

Narrative: Resident in CPD H.Q.’s reporting her estranged husband stole approximately $150,000 from her individual bank checking account by writing checks and forging her signature.  Patrols conducted a preliminary investigation. Supporting documentation completed and report filed. Investigation continuing.

Narrative: Resident states her son and his friend were playing in the backyard and now they're gone. Her son last seen wearing a black and blue jacket.  Her son’s friend was wearing a pink jacket.  Patrol was canvassing and located the kids on S. Riverside Ave and Oneida Ave. Patrol brought the kids back home to the parent.

Narrative: Area resident reports a black Audi bearing New York license plates failed to stop at multiple stop signs on Furnace Dock Road and now the vehicle is headed on Rt. 9 South from Montrose. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

Narrative: Resident states her 16 y/o daughter ran away from home during the night. Caller states her location is coming up in Highland Falls NY on the find my IPHONE app.  Mother said her daughter has a boyfriend who lives in Highland Falls NY.  Mother contacted the Highland Falls Police to conduct a welfare check.  Croton patrol dispatched to mother’s apartment for a follow up and to canvass the surrounding area.
 
Mother reports the Highland Falls Police Dept. did locate her daughter at that location and she is going to pick her up now. Mother states her daughter had a PINS in the past and is going to start the process again. Patrol to file a domestic incident report. Highland Falls PD called and report they were able to locate the daughter and turned her over to her mother.

Narrative: MTAPD requesting our assistance at the train station for an unruly passenger. Patrol dispatched report scene secure TOT MTAPD.

Narrative: Resident reports a tan puppy running loose on Cleveland drive.  Resident lost sight of dog. Croton patrols canvassed the area with negative results, spoke to mailman who believes dog may belong to residents on Wood road.  Patrols responded to a Wood Rd residence and determined the dog does reside there and was already back home with owner.

Narrative: Resident reports a black Volkswagon Jetta just drove down his street at a high rate of speed.  Resident states he yelled at the driver to "slow down." He reports the vehicle then stopped and the operator got out and yelled back at caller. The operator then got in the Jetta and left.  Resident describes the operator as a young white male with light hair and beard. Patrols responded and canvassed the area with negative results.

Narrative: E911 caller requesting an ambulance for himself because he is not feeling well and dizzy.  Caller was transferred to 60 Control for EMS dispatch.  Patrols responded and the aided was transported to a local hospital.

Narrative:  Resident reports she rolled off the couch and needs help getting back up. She is home with her health aide. Patrol dispatched and assisted her back onto her couch. Resident reports no injuries and did not want any medical assistance.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton EMS to residence for a suicide attempt with a knife. Croton patrols dispatched, caller reports a family member cut self sometime during the night with a knife and is bleeding. Patrols and EMS on scene and report the aided is semi-conscious and is going ALS to WCMC. Det. Leonard notified and responding to process the scene.

Croton patrols dispatched and report no injuries.  The operator of Nissan holds suspended NYS license The operator, a 25 year old Peekskill resident was processed and issued summonses roadside.  She was ticketed for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd /511-1a of the NYS Vehicle & Traffic laws.  Patrols to file an accident report.

Narrative:   Resident in Croton Police Headquarters reporting that on Sunday, 12/26/21 and Monday, 12/27/21, an elderly male, with glasses, wearing a white parka and dark baseball cap came to her door during day hours.  She states the male was well dressed but appeared confused, and once even tried to open her door to come inside.  She told the male both times he was at the wrong house and shut the door on him.  Resident was advised to call the Croton Police immediately if something similar happens again.

Narrative: USA Central alarm operator called to report a commercial burglar alarm at the Croton Library.  Patrol units responded and located a parked unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.  Patrol located the owner of the vehicle who was an employee that had accidentally set off the alarm.

Narrative: Caller reports seeing a pedestrian walking on Route 9 south near the 129 exit, described as male black, wearing blue hoodie, yelling and screaming, swinging some kind of robe with a ball.  Patrols responded to the area and report area is clear.

Narrative: Resident reports her vehicle may have been involved in a past hit and run accident. Croton patrols out at Skyview Nursing Home to speak with the reporting resident. She reports discovering the damage to her trunk this morning. She believes the incident may have taken place on 12/31/21 between 4:00 pm and midnight. She is awaiting surveillance confirmation from Skyview.  Investigation continuing.

Narrative: Resident stated that while placing her son inside of the car outside of the above location she heard yelling. Caller further stated that a large white male wearing a black jacket was yelling at the owner of a local deli and making threats to kill him. Patrol dispatched and spoke with the owner who stated that he had a heated argument with the guy who sharpens the knives for his store. The deli owner was not able to provide any information about the company but stated that he will follow up with the company to not have the guy return to his store.

Narrative: Woman in headquarters to report that she was in the Croton Landing parking lot with her dog.  She reports witnessing a man standing near a white Volkswagen and shove a child that appeared to be 8-9 years old then hand a dog to a small girl.  Complainant stated the dog was "too much" for the small girl and attacked the complainant’s dog.  The complainant stated she then got into a verbal argument with the man who was yelling at her to leave him and his family alone.  Complainant stated her dog was not injured and she left the area.  Complainant wished to remain anonymous.  Patrols dispatched and found the white Volkswagen but the family was no longer in the area.

Call Type: Domestic Dispute - Arrest
Narrative: 911 caller reports her husband assaulted her and her face is covered in blood and her husband is also on the phone calling 911.  Second 911 caller reporting his wife assaulted him.  Patrol units requested an ambulance to evaluate the wife who sustained injuries to her face.  EMS also evaluated the husband.  Both parties refused further medical attention.  Patrols state the defendant punched his wife in the nose during a verbal argument while travelling in their car on Route 9 North.  A male, forty years of age of Croton was arrested and processed back at Croton Police H.Q.’s.  Defendant was arraigned in Croton Village court and a temporary order of protection was issued against the defendant. The defendant was released on his own recognizance.  Patrols transported the defendant back to his vehicle on Grand Street and he left to stay with a family member in New York City.

Narrative:  Resident states while trying to dial (914) she must have hit an extra 1. Caller further reports all is in order and does not require any police assistance. Patrol dispatched and spoke with the home owner and confirmed all in order.

Narrative: Resident reports on Glengary Road he observed a propane truck hit a cable wire. No further information was available on the truck. Patrol dispatched and reports the low hanging low on Glengary Road is a main power line.  Patrols report the roadway is still passable.  Con Ed Electric notified and will be responding.

Narrative:  Resident reports while she was down at Croton Landing she observed a vehicle in violation of the vehicle idling law.  She stated that when she advised the operator of the vehicle of the law, the driver told her to mind her business.   She was not able to provide any information about the vehicle. Patrol responded to the area and reports no vehicles in violation at this time.
