Narrative: Detective Division emptied contents of drug drop box located in CPD lobby. Contents weighed approximately 39.6 pounds; property secured/logged and to be destroyed at a future date.

Narrative: Croton patrol reports stopping a 2011 gray Honda for traffic infraction.  eJustice shows the vehicle registration to be valid. The operator, a 34-year-old resident of Peekskill NY, holds a revoked New York license.  The operator was placed under arrest and processed roadside.  The vehicle was turned over to the registered owner at scene.  Driver was issued two traffic tickets for VTL 511/1, AUO 3rd, and VTL 1180-D/ Speeding with signs posted.  Driver was given a return date of 01/05/2022 in village court.

Narrative: Caller states a male came to her door and was attempting to sell her something.  Caller describes the male as white in his twenties with brown hair wearing a blue sweatshirt.  Caller states the male left her property on foot towards Batten rd.  Patrol dispatched.  Patrol canvassed the area and report male GOA.

Narrative: Caller reports her teenaged daughter is having a mental breakdown inside her vehicle at location and needs help.  Patrols dispatched, 60 Control notified and CEMS dispatched.  Patrol reports CEMS on scene and mother of female subject requesting she be transported to WMC for a psychological evaluation.  Patrol reports female is uncooperative and refusing to go.  Patrol reports using minimal physical force to place female subject into ambulance without using restraints.  Patrol transporting one female along with Croton EMS to local area hospital.

Narrative: 60 control dispatched Croton Fire apparatus to the area for outside odor of gas.  The Croton Fire apparatus responded, patrols report Con Edison crew also on scene.  C.F.D. personnel and Con Ed Gas handling.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton EMS to the train station waiting area for a 36 year old  male who is in distress. Patrols dispatched and Croton EMS responded.  Croton patrols report the MTA police are on scene and handling.

Narrative: Cortlandt resident in Croton Police H.Q.’s reporting that he believes his elderly mother with dementia was assaulted on last week by her home health aide.  Patrols conducted a preliminary investigation and obtained a completed supporting deposition and may have captured video surveillance footage.   Investigation continuing.

Narrative: Parking Enforcement Officer reports a tractor trailer ran into low hanging wire on 1200 block of Albany Post Rd.  Patrols out assisting a 2017 Mack truck clear the area.

Narrative: Resident reports a large truck just drove down Palmer Avenue and pulled a cable line down.  The line is now hanging low in the street. Patrol dispatched and confirmed wire is hanging low and reports being able to tie line off.  Traffic cones placed in area to prevent traffic from driving through.  Croton Harmon Transportation notified and Cablevision notified to respond to fix wire.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton EMS to the ticket booth area in station for a person in distress.  Croton patrols dispatched to back up MTA police.  Croton patrols report Croton EMS is transporting aided to PMHER for evaluation.  M.T. A. police following up.

Narrative: Resident reports at 2:20 PM, a Green tractor pulling a white trailer, with green letters 'ABF' Freight, written on the side, tore down some cable/telephone lines.  She reports this damaged the front downspout and the front gutter of the house as well.  She reports the wires may be old lines because the other tenants and she have still have service and cable.  She indicates her Ring doorbell camera caught the tractor trailer involved striking the overhead wires at 2:20 PM.  She forwarded video recording for patrols to follow up.

Narrative: New York State Counter-Terrorism Zone 3 will be assigning Operation Safeguard taskings during this week through Christmas/New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.  (December 20, 2021 – January 2, 2022).
 
These requested taskings will consist of daily inspections and high-visibility patrols of Houses of Worship & Transportation Facilities, Retail Centers, places of mass gatherings and any other site within your jurisdiction that has been given special attention in the past (i.e. dams, bridges, reservoirs & train stations).  During each tasking period CTZ-3 agencies are asked to conduct the following:
 
High visibility patrols of Houses of Worship, should be given special attention and conducted whenever possible. High visibility patrols of commercial retail areas including but not limited to, shopping malls, business districts and restaurants.  Inspections of train stations should be conducted preferably during rush-hour periods, if possible. Train station inspections shall be conducted for a minimum of 15 minutes (conditions permitting).

Narrative: Resident reports receiving a scam call from a male pretending to be her grandson stating he needed money after being involved in a car accident.  Resident knew the male on phone was not her grandson and hung up on him.  No further issues.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton Fire apparatus to local childcare center for an automatic fire alarm.  Croton Fire personnel and patrols responded to the business and report the alarm was set off in error.

Narrative: Croton Fire personnel reporting vehicles parked in the no parking zone opposite the firehouse.  Patrols dispatched to check location. Patrols report one vehicle moved and three were ticketed.

Narrative: Resident requesting assistance, she reports her father is having a medical issue and is down in his apartment on Springvale Road.  She was contacting the NYSP and EMS to respond to his apartment.  Caller reports she doesn't drive but needs to get to the apartment with the keys to open the door.  Patrols responded to her home and provided transport to her father’s apartment.  NYSP dispatcher was advised daughter of aided is being transported to the apartment to unlock the door.  NYSP handling call.

Narrative: Multiple reports of a motor vehicle accident on Route 129. Patrols dispatched and report roadway is slick in the area. DPW contacted and responded. Patrols shut down a lane on the roadway and directed traffic around the closure until DPW arrival. DPW then salted the roadway. PO Fielding to file an accident report.

Narrative: Resident requests assistance with custody exchange at his residence. Patrols responded to assist with a custody exchange that was to take place at 10:30 AM between resident and mother of their child.   Mother never arrived to pick up their child.  Patrols able to review the  court ordered visitation paperwork and discovered the exchange was not to take place until 6:00 PM.   Resident advised patrols will respond back when exchange is scheduled.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatch CFD apparatus to Wells Avenue on a report of an outside odor of natural gas.  Croton patrols also responded to the area.  Con Edison - Gas crew on scene handling.  Patrols returned to service.

Narrative: 60 Control dispatched Croton Fire apparatus to Scenic Drive West residence for an activated fire alarm.  Croton patrols responded to assist.  Patrols report the alarm was set off in error by the homeowner.

Narrative: Resident reports needing CEMS for her elderly husband who is having difficulty breathing.  Resident relayed to 60  Control, patrol units responded to assist aided.  Patrols report aided being transported by CEMS to a local area hospital.

Narrative: Motorist reporting a disabled car with flashers on ramp.  Patrols responded and report vehicle had a flat tire and owner already had assistance changing same.  Condition corrected.

Narrative: Resident requesting police at the Mobil gas station on South Riverside Avenue.  Patrols report being out with the individual.  Patrols report the resident did not want further assistance.  Contacted the caller’s father and informed him of his son's current location.  Father reports his son has been doing ok recently and does not know what may have prompted him to call the police.  He reports his son was at his in-laws with his mother earlier.  Patrols report subject was still in the area.  No further action taken.

Narrative: Resident in HQ and reports on 12/07/2021, she reported things had gone missing from her home. She is now reporting some Christmas gifts she had purchased have been taken.  She does not know when or how they were taken.  Patrols responded to make sure everything was secure and reports there was no sign of entry into the house.  Patrols report all appeared secure. Case report completed, investigation continuing.

Narrative: Resident in Croton Police HQ’s reporting his soon to be ex-wife came into his separate apartment on S Riverside Avenue yelling at him because he "liked" her sisters Christmas photo on Facebook.  Incident was verbal only, patrols to file a domestic incident report.

Narrative: Anonymous caller reporting at the Croton Train Station main terminal an elderly white female on a bench appearing intoxicated or might need assistance.  The caller had left the location.  60 Control was notified for EMS dispatch.  MTAPD dispatch was notified.  Patrols responded and the female refused medical attention,  MTAPD was on scene handling.

Narrative: Resident in CPD H.Q.’s turning in a 9mm magazine filled with 9 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Property was placed into a temporary locker. Receipt scanned and attached to the blotter and placed in the file.  A receipt was given to the resident.

Narrative: Employee from CVS Pharmacy claims a male black dressed in a multi colored quilted jacket and black pants left the store with four bags of merchandise without paying.  Employee the man possibly fled on foot south on Maple St. Patrol checked the area with negative results. Investigation continuing.
