Members of the CPD Complete Anti-Bias and De-Escalation Training

Recently, all officers of the Croton Police Department completed anti-bias and de-escalation training. This training was provided by the New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal (NYMIR) Online University. Pictured here are Chief Harper and Lt. The coursework included identifying biases, avoiding biased policing, maintaining an unbiased and respectful culture as well as strategies for resolving conflicts peacefully.

This training was conducted in addition to the annual in-service anti-bias and de-escalation training and other in-service training members of the department receive throughout the year.
