Croton-on-Hudson Wins Gold Award in AAA’s Annual Traffic Safety Program

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson has won a Gold Award in AAA Northeast’s Community Traffic Safety Awards Program, Director of Public & Government Affairs, John Corlett announced today. AAA has long recognized communities that make outstanding efforts to make the region’s roads safer for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

The Village was cited for its many traffic safety efforts for 2019, including reducing speed limits on multiple village streets and school zones, conducting safety education programs for schools and teen drivers, and participating in a wide variety of traffic enforcement programs. The Village also boasts a formidable record of having no pedestrian fatalities in 27 consecutive years.
