Winter Storm Advisory from the Village of Croton-on-Hudson

Reminders on Village Snow Regulations

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is closely monitoring the snow expected in our area this afternoon. Northern Westchester County is currently under a Winter Weather Advisory for total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches of snow and a light glaze of ice.

As a reminder, the village regulations regarding snow can be accessed by clicking here. Once snow accumulations hit two inches, on-street parking prohibitions begin for all those without seasonal hardship permits.

Additionally, residents are reminded that sidewalks are to be cleared within 18 hours after the cessation of snowfall. Those who do not clear their sidewalks in a timely fashion may be billed for the cost of the snow removal contractor as well as an administrative fee. Residents can sign up to receive snow alert emails announcing the official end time of the storm by clicking here.

All residents are strongly encouraged to follow the Village's social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter where updates will be posted, as well as through the village E-Alert system. Additionally, any emergency notifications will be sent via the Code Red system.
