Westchester County Has Declared a State of Emergency

Westchester County Executive George Latimer has declared a State of Emergency for Westchester County as the region faces a significant, and potentially life-threatening weather event. Dangerous rainfall is currently impacting the area and is expected to continue, leading to concerns of flash flooding and hazardous conditions throughout Westchester.

Latimer said: “I am taking this step to ensure the security, well-being and health of our citizens during this challenging time. The severe storm has created hazardous conditions, and we are committed to providing all necessary assistance to address the threats to public health and safety.”

Storm Update from Metro-North Railroad:

We are strongly urging customers to travel as early as possible today.

Build in additional travel time to get to the Bronx via the subway system for continuing Metro-North Railroad service.

Metro-North service remains suspended in both directions between Manhattan and The Bronx.

NYC Transit continues to cross-honor Metro-North fares for service between Grand Central Terminal and our stations in The Bronx.

Line-Specific Subway Options:
Northbound Hudson Line service originates at Yankees-E 153 St; consider taking the 4 line between Grand Central and 161 St-Yankees Stadium.
