Village Receives Prestigious Planning Award

WMPF Award

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson was recently awarded the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation (WMPF)'s Planning Achievement Award. The award was presented at a ceremony held on Thursday, May 30th. The award was given for the installation of the new pre-cast concrete elevated walkway along Elliott Way, along with the expansion and repaving of the existing roadway, drainage improvements along the roadway and installation of lighting for safety purposes. Additionally, an approximately 320 foot retaining wall was also installed to accommodate the continuation of the walkway along Elliott Way.

The Village would like to acknowledge the staff of the Public Works and Engineering Departments, who spent countless hours designing and supervising this project. Due to their efforts, Croton-on-Hudson now has a continuous walkway along its entire Hudson River shoreline!
