Update from the Croton-Harmon Superintendent of Schools

This email is being shared by the Village as it represents an issue of potentially broad interest to the community.

May 3, 2023

Dear Croton-Harmon Community,

We are very pleased to share with you the online version of the Reflections Budget Newsletter, which provides information about the proposed school district budget for the 2023/24 school year. This will be delivered in hard copy to all of our community’s residents in the next few days, but we also wanted to make sure that you have access to the full-color, online version.

We have spent time in our schools this year thinking about and furthering a vision for what our schools can be, focusing on opportunities for our students and staff members to pursue their interests and passions through their learning, creating a system of well-being for all members of the school district community, and identifying and overcoming aspects of our system which are barriers to creating what we know that our schools can be. I encourage you to consider how this budget is designed to enhance our school system, now and in the future, as you review the Budget Newsletter.

Tiger community, please make a plan to vote on Tuesday, May 16, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Croton-Harmon High School. If you are unable to vote in person, an application for an absentee ballot can be requested by emailing the District Clerk, Tracey Borges, at tracey.borges@chufsd.org.

Thank you for your ongoing interest in our proposed 2023/24 school district budget.

Sincerely,

Stephen Walker
Superintendent of Schools
