Dear Croton-Harmon Community,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your support of the Future Facilities Capital Project resulted in its passage on Tuesday by an overwhelming majority of voters, 810 - 215. From the beginning of this process, the team envisioned creating a project which would transform the school experience for every student, every staff member, and our entire community. With your vote on Tuesday, you helped us to know that the vision for the future of our schools is one that resonates with our community. Your support lifts us, it inspires us, and it helps us to feel even more excited about the amazing and impactful work that lies ahead. Your questions, feedback, and engagement have helped this project to be better, and we look forward to sharing the next steps with you and listening to your thoughts and suggestions about how we can make this project truly transformative for our students, staff members, and community.

Beginning in January, please be on the lookout for communications from us about the Future Facilities Project, and also about the Strategic Planning work which is currently underway. I am confident that you will find that our approach to this Strategic Plan to be both “the right work” for our schools at this time, and fully cohesive with the facilities vision that has been shared with you over these past months. As always, we will look forward to hearing from and learning from you as we begin to share the initial work on the Strategic Plan beginning next month.

Inspirational, visionary, creative schools cannot exist without being extensions of communities which exemplify those same characteristics. Thank you for yesterday’s reminder of how fortunate we are, as educators, to have the opportunity to be part of just such a community.

With Great Tiger Pride,

Stephen Walker
