Storm Update from Village of Croton-on-Hudson

The Village incurred significant coastal flooding this morning in the train station parking lot and along the RiverWalk, including Senasqua Park and Croton Landing Park. DPW has begun removing debris, but extreme caution should be exercised in these areas until the cleanup is complete.

The next phase of the storm - a flash freeze - is happening now. Roads that have not dried from today's rain may become treacherous due to the formation of ice. DPW will be monitoring conditions and salting as necessary; brine cannot be used in this type of storm as it cannot adhere to wet roads. Please consider staying home this evening and off area roads to allow DPW to complete their work.

All reported power outages have been restored by Con Edison. If you lose power this evening, please report the outage to Con Edison directly at 1-800-75-CONED.
