Reminder: Storm System to Impact Region Tonight into Saturday

Heavy Rainfall and High Winds Likely with Flooding Possible
Storm Watch

A major storm system is expected to bring heavy rainfall to our region this evening into Saturday. A Flood Watch is currently in effect from January 12, 10:00 PM until January 13, 10:00 AM.

Tidal flooding along the Hudson River is expected with this storm. Commuters at the Croton-Harmon Train Station are advised to avoid Sections I & the southern areas of Section H, which are prone to flooding during periods of heavy rainfall. Daily commuters should park in the northern areas (closest to Croton Point Avenue). The Saturday morning high tide cycle is expected to bring the worst conditions. Please avoid all barricaded areas & follow posted signage. If you would like to subscribe to receive text alerts regarding conditions at the Croton-Harmon Train Station Parking Lot, you can register here

Flooding is also expected along Elliott Way, including Senasqua Park and Croton Landing. These parks may be closed if necessary. Black Rock Dog Park is currently closed until further notice as the Department of Public Works repairs a fence that was damaged during Tuesday's storm.

Residents are encouraged to monitor the local forecast, prepare households and vehicles for heavy rain, and use caution when traveling.
