On January 18, 2022, the Village Board of Trustees adopted Local Law 2 of 2022 to restrict the use of gas-powered leaf blowers during the summer and winter months. As such, the use of gas-powered leaf blowers is prohibited throughout the Village between June 1 and August 31, as well as between January 1 and March 31. Electric and battery-operated leaf blowers are not affected by this ban.

As a reminder, the seasonal gas-powered leaf blower ban in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson will go into effect on June 1. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of the Village's noise code, including landscaping hours. The operation of power lawn mowers, rakers or leaf blowers or other motor-driven lawn or garden equipment is permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
