Reminder: Seasonal Ban on Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers Begins June 1

As a friendly reminder, the seasonal gas-powered leaf blower ban in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson will be enforced starting June 1. This measure, established by Local Law 2 of 2022, restricts the use of gas-powered leaf blowers during the summer and winter months. The ban will remain in effect until August 31, with a subsequent ban from January 1 to March 31.

Please note that this regulation does not affect electric and battery-operated leaf blowers.

Residents are encouraged to comply with the Village's noise code and landscaping regulations. The operation of power lawn mowers, rakers, leaf blowers, or other motor-driven lawn or garden equipment is permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
