NYS DEC Public Stakeholder Meeting on Hydrilla

May 21, 2019

Join the Village and the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation as they discuss this year's plan to control Hydrilla in the Croton River. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Georgianna Grant Meeting Room of the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck Street.

Hydrilla grows and spreads rapidly and is one of the most difficult aquatic invasive plants to control and eradicate in the United States. Infestations can have negative impacts on recreation and tourism, as well as severe consequences for aquatic ecosystems.

For those unable to attend the meeting, it will be livestreamed on the Village's website and cable channel 78.

Information on the project thus far can be found on the Village's website: https://www.crotononhudson-ny.gov/ongoing-projects-initiatives-proposed-...
