Heavy Rainfall Likely with Flooding Possible Late Tonight into Saturday Night

A weather system is expected to bring heavy rainfall to our region tomorrow, October 7th. A Flood Watch is currently in effect for Westchester County, with a general 1.5-2.5 inches of rain expected, with localized amounts in excess of 4 inches possible. Rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour are possible.

Residents are encouraged to monitor the local forecast, prepare households and vehicles for heavy rain, and use caution when traveling. Con Edison

  • If you experience a power outage, please notify Con Edison at 1-800-752-6633

  • Consider signing up for the ConEd Life Supporting Equipment Registry if you or a loved one rely on medical equipment

Verizon

  • Use the Verizon Troubleshooter to report any damage to your Verizon equipment, schedule service for your Verizon line at your home, or request assistance to move or remove Verizon equipment.
  • NEVER move or touch downed power lines. Contact Verizon at 1-800-837-4966 to report a downed or low hanging line.  Additionally, you can report a downed line online via the Verizon Troubleshooter.
