The Village of Croton-on-Hudson Water Department will begin the semi-annual hydrant-flushing program on September 18, 2023. Flushing will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. The flushing program is expected to take four weeks to complete. Updates on which streets will have their hydrants flushed will be posted when possible on the Village's website, Facebook, and Twitter account.

On 9/18/2023, the Water Department will be flushing in the areas of Grand Street, Daily Drive, Niles Road, Quaker Bridge Road, Batten Road, Eklof Court, Cleveland Drive, Gerstein Street, Wood Road, Jacoby Street, and Harrison Street.

As the hydrant-flushing program nears your neighborhood, you may notice a slight discoloration of your water. This is temporary and poses no health risk. Simply run your water for a short period of time until it clears up. Do not do any laundry until you are sure your water is clear. If the discoloration persists, contact the Croton on Hudson DPW at 271-3775.

We apologize for any inconvenience this hydrant-flushing program may cause. This procedure is necessary to insure the continued cleanliness of the water system and is mandated by the New York State Department of Health. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this operation.
