Croton-Harmon School District Board of Education Election Information

The Croton-Harmon PTAs will be hosting a Croton-Harmon School District Board of Education Candidates Forum on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. The election ballot will include seven candidates who are running for three open Board seats. The seven candidates, appearing in order on the ballot, are Ana Teague, Elizabeth Faber, Omar Mayyasi, Mary Obermeier, Lindsay Mergens, Brian Loges and Jordan Humphrey.  

The purpose of the event is to provide a means for the Croton-Harmon community to meet and learn about the candidates. The forum will be moderated by a representative from the League of Women Voters.  The forum will be held virtually and will be recorded. The forum will be conducted as a question and answer session and will not include any debate.

The agenda will include:  

  • Candidate introductions (limited to two minutes)
  • Moderator directed written question response (two minutes)
  • Candidate closing remarks (limited to two minutes)

Croton Harmon School District residents are invited to register early for the forum and submit questions.  Questions must be submitted by noon on Monday, May 3, 2021. The Croton Harmon School District has been informed by Kathleen Reddy-Guidry that she has withdrawn her candidacy for a seat on the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District Board of Education. In accordance with Section 2018(d) of the Education Law, the time period for the submission of nominating petitions for candidates for the Board of Education has been reopened and extended. Nominating petitions for candidates for the Board of Education will now be accepted until May 11, 2021 at 5:00PM in the Office of the District Clerk.  Nominating Petitions can be found here.

Please note:  Absentee ballots which include Kathleen Reddy-Guidry's name have already been mailed to some voters. If you have already returned your absentee ballot: You may request a new absentee ballot. If any new candidates are included on the ballot after the conclusion of the extended time period for the submission of nominating petitions, a revised absentee ballot will be sent to all eligible voters who requested an absentee ballot.
