The Healing Power of Reflexology with Christine Knowlton

Bennett Conservatory of Music Open House

A non-profit community music school established in 1950, the Bennett Conservatory of Music invites residents to their open house. Come meet the faculty! Try out an instrument at the "Petting Zoo." Early Childhood demonstration class for those under four years of age with caregiver. Dalcroze class for those four years and older without caregiver. African Drumming Circle. Folk songs and dances. Refreshments.
 
Knights of Columbus Golf Outing

Please join us for the Holy Name of Mary Knights of Columbus Annual Golf Tournament on Friday September 21st, 2018. This event will have a "Shotgun" start and is open to everyone regardless of skill level. The cost is $150.00 per golfer. This includes green fees, dinner, contests, prizes and a raffle. Croton Girl Scouts Open House

Discover Girl Scouts! Swing by on Friday, September 21st from 4:30 - 6:00 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall (basement). Kids will meet other Girl Scouts and get to try out fun STEM activities, try out some outdoor skills and learn some Girl Scouts traditions. (Did anybody say S’mores?) Community leaders will be there to answer parents’ questions about the benefits of the Girl Scouts leadership program. Refreshments will be served. Drop in at any time and take part of the fun! We already have two NEW Kindergarten troops that are getting started plus openings in older troops as well! Questions? Croton-Harmon Homecoming Week Kick-Off

Croton Reservoir and Dam Hike

Easy 1-mile hike north along the Aqueduct and atop the beautiful Croton Dam.~ Meet near the restrooms at the parking lot at Croton Gorge Park, Rte. 129, Cortlandt, NY 10567. The leader of the hike will discuss the history and construction of the Old Croton Aqueduct and the features of the Croton Dam, the trailhead of the Aqueduct Trail.
 
Introduction to Babysitting
Saturday, September 22 – 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Potential babysitters build essential skills for responsible childcare through this four-hour course. Amanda Tucker, a first-grade teacher, gives hands-on instruction on several topics, including: interviewing and communication tips; ages/stages of young babies and toddlers; safety and first-aid; feeding and caring for children (including diaper changing). Amanda holds three teacher certifications – including Early Childhood, General Education and Special Education – and a Master’s Degree in Literacy. She will administer a simple test at the completion of the course and distribute certificates. Bring paper and pen – and your lunch! For youngsters ages 10 and up. Registration required. Croton Rotary Club Auto Show

Save the date! Our 34th Annual Croton Rotary Auto Show at the Croton Harmon Train Station is coming soon! The event will have some great features including Touch a Truck for the kids and Croton’s Famous Chili Cook-off! We look forward to seeing everyone come out for a great time on September 23rd from 11-4pm! Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family.
 
Bird Walk: Croton Point Park

Beginners encouraged. Call or email Saw Mill River Audubon for directions and if you want to borrow a pair of binoculars for the walk; otherwise, no RSVP needed. We go rain or shine! Meet in the main parking lot by the nature center driveway.
