Journaling with Seniors

Croton Free Library, Ottinger Room
Journaling for Seniors is a new program for community seniors offered by the Croton Free Library. This free club offers older adults the chance to express themselves through writing, doodling, and more. No particular writing or art skills required. Supplies is provided. Offered in partnership with Croton Caring. Space is limited to 12 participants, so sign up today.

Virtual Write In

Christmas Tree & Menorah Lighting
Thursday, December 2 | 5 PM – 6 PM
Vassallo Park
Come join your neighbors and friends as we light the Christmas Tree and celebrate Hanukkah in Vassallo Park. There will be singing of carols and holiday songs, along with light refreshments. A great event for the whole family!
A holiday parade with a special visitor from the North Pole will precede the lighting, starting at 5:00 PM. Meet at the Municipal Building and walk to Vassallo Park! The ceremony will begin at 5:15 PM in Vassallo Park.

St. Augustine Holiday Wreath & Bake Sale

Croton Point History and Nature Hike
Saturday, December 4 | 9 AM – 11 PM
Croton Point Park
Croton Point Park Naturalist John Phillips and Village of Croton Historian Marc Cheshire will lead a hike to explore Croton Point’s wildlife, trees, plants, history, archaeology, and geology. The hike will last roughly 2 to 3 hours and the route will depend on the interests of the participants. This event is free. Meet at the gate to the RV park, where parking is available. Ages 6 and up; wear sturdy shoes.
 
Duck Pond Clean-Up

Duck Pond Park, Bungalow Road
The Conservation Advisory Council is inviting members of the community for their clean-up of Duck Pond Park, located on Bungalow Road. Volunteers are requested to clean up litter and restore the park's beauty.

Ask Art Another: An Evening of Fun & Games with Trivia Expert Art Chung

Zoom Call
Croton's own Art Chung will take us behind the scenes of the NPR variety/quiz show "Ask Me Another," chat about his time as an original writer on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," and delve into the art and science of trivia. And, of course, he'll host a quiz game with prizes for a lucky winner. This event is free and open to all. This program is sponsored by the Croton Lions Club.
 
Winter Festival with the Croton Free Library
Saturday, December 11 | 10 AM to 4 PM
Croton Free Library
Join the Croton Free Library for their Winter Festival. This event is to feature Live music, crafts for kids, a food drive, a book raffle, and a local artisans' pop-up shop for holiday craft shopping. Stop by for hot drinks, snacks, and the return of the Wanna Empanada truck.

Croton Free Library - Ottinger Room
Support local artists and find great handcrafted items for the holidays! Come to the Ottinger Room at the Croton Free Library for this pop-up shop from the Northeast Etsy Artists Collective, featuring jewelry, pottery, art, journals, and more. Check out a full list of vendors on our website: crotonfreelibrary.org. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the library.
