It's the best time of the year: Book & Bake Sale time! Proceeds benefit the Croton Free Library. This fall's sale will be held this Saturday and Sunday — Nov. 18 and 19 — from 10am-3pm. Early bird admission: $10 on Saturday, from 8am-10am. Sunday Special: From 12-3pm, buy a Croton Free Library tote bag for $20 and fill it with all you can carry! Volunteers Needed: DOROT Thanksgiving Meal Delivery
Volunteer needed! DOROT’s Thanksgiving Meal Delivery brings hundreds of older adults and volunteers together to share warmth and companionship. DIY Earring Design
Express your creative side with artist Joan Lloyd, as she teaches you how to design and bead your very own earrings in this hands-on workshop. Choose from a vast variety of colorful beads to make one-of-a-kind earrings for yourself or someone else. You'll also have an opportunity to donate an additional pair of your own design to a local women's shelter. All materials provided. Free and open to anyone 8+. Registration required! Space is limited
3rd Annual Drumstick Dash Unofficial 5K Run/Walk
The Croton Tapsmith, CKO Kickboxing, and Croton Running Company are hosting an unofficial 5k run/walk on Thanksgiving morning to benefit the Croton Business Council. Winter Holiday Celebration
Join your friends and neighbors at Vassallo Park for a winter holiday celebration! Students from the Croton-Harmon School District will lead the crowd in festive songs before the lighting of the Village’s Christmas Tree and Menorah. Santa Claus will also be visiting from the North Pole! Special holiday treats will be provided. It is sure to be a festive and fun evening for the entire family – all are welcome!

27th Annual Holiday Boutique Sponsored by Croton Council on the Arts
Once again, the Croton Artisans are hosting their immensely popular Holiday Boutique. The event will take place Saturday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 3rd, with a wine tasting from 3-6 on Saturday. It will be held at the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building in Croton, and is sponsored by Croton Council on the Arts. Admission is free. The Croton Artisans will be selling handcrafted items including jewelry, Japanese paper art, scarves and fashions, and paintings. Guest artisans this year will offer lovely handmade wood cutting boards, soaps and hand salves, knitting, photography, collage, glass work and pottery. The Holiday Boutique is the perfect place to purchase unique handmade gifts for the holidays. Come shop and visit with the artisans while enjoying tasty treats and live music!
Croton 125th Anniversary Concert: Julliard Jazz on Hudson
The Croton 125th Anniversary Committee is hosting a concert by Juilliard Jazz musicians, led by Juilliard instructor, award-winning jazz composer, arranger, and saxophonist Andy Farber. The concert will take place on December 2, from 3:00 – 5:30 at the Croton Harmon High School. Tickets are FREE, but must be reserved in advance here. Metro-North Skilled Trades Open House
Metro-North is hosting a Skilled Trades Open House on Saturday, December 2 from 10 am – 12:30 pm at 525 North Broadway, White Plains, NY. Qualified job seekers will be invited to speak to a recruiter and/or a subject matter expert and they may be scheduled for the Metro-North interview process.
Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony

Repair Café
Repair Cafés are FREE community events where you bring your broken but beloved items and volunteer repair coaches help you FIX THEM! The Village of Croton-on-Hudson's first-ever Repair Café will take place on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Croton Municipal Building Community Room located at 1 Van Wyck Street in Croton-on-Hudson. The Repair Café is sponsored by the Village of Croton-on-Hudson and the Town of Cortlandt, and hosted by the Croton Conservation Advisory Council. Building Energy Efficiency & Clean Energy Workshop
Join Croton100 & CURE100 for a FREE workshop to learn about financial incentives for adoption of clean energy solutions offered by Federal agencies, New York State, and public utility programs. Free babysitting with sustainability focused activities will be provided for children over 3 years old. Experts from the Climate Reality Project- Westchester and Sustainable Westchester will explain how people can take advantage of financial rebates and other incentives to save money, improve health, increase comfort, and reduce their carbon footprint by installing heat pumps, adopting electric vehicles, using clean electricity from solar systems and utility providers, reducing energy use through energy efficiency tune-ups, including sealing building gaps and increasing insulation.

Croton Friends of History: the Life of Clifford B. Harmon
Harmon, the New City In 1905, innovative real estate developer Clifford B. Harmon announced the purchase of the Van Cortlandt family farm, where he intended to build “Harmon, the New City, the most important and extensive suburban development in the history of New York.” Village Historian Marc Cheshire will tell the story of how Harmon bought, marketed and sold his “new city”, and his colorful life as a wealthy playboy and internationally famous aviator.
Croton Welcome Wagon Cookie Exchange
The Croton Welcome Wagon will host a Winter Cookie Exchange at the municipal building, on Friday, 12/15, from 5-7pm. Bring 2 dozen of your favorite cookies and a container to fill with cookies made by friends, both old and new. All Croton residents are welcome! We will also have warm drinks and a winter craft for kids. We hope to see you there!
