Care for Creation Town Hall

Care for Creation will host a Town Hall to try and help clarify questions about the complicated Croton-Harmon School District transportation propositions which offer fossil fuel and electric school bus options. Speakers will be present from the Board of Ed, Croton100 and Mothers Out Front, as well as EV experts. There will be a Q&A. Learn about the four propositions before 5/18/2021 vote! Screen-Free Bingo Challenge

On Saturday, May 15, the CHUFSD Health and Wellness Committee is inviting the Croton-Harmon community to turn off their screens for 24 hours and take the Screen-Free Bingo Challenge. Here is how to participate! Use this link to check out some fun screen-free activities planned for May 15th. Prefer to create your own bingo board? You can fill in the blank one with screen-free activities you engaged in, too!

Sustainable Sunday Speaker Series - Climate Stressed Kids. Crotonite Eric Lewandowski, clinical psychologist and associate professor at NYU Langone, will speak about the serious impact that the climate emergency is having on the mental health of young people. The webinar will review the impacts and present ideas for talking with the kids; sharing ideas to help them cope and respond with meaningful activities. A must-see event for all parents! Croton-Harmon School District Election

The annual budget vote, propositions and trustee election is on Tuesday, May 18, at Croton-Harmon High School. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Information on the budget and each of the propositions is available on the school district website: chufsd.org.
 
Diversity & Inclusion Discussion Group
Wednesday, May 26 – 7 p.m.

Personal recollections on the Asian-American Experience. Please join us for personal stories shared by two of our committee members on growing up Asian-American in America. Reflecting on their parents' journeys, as well as their own, the discussion will explore the "Model Minority" myth and will expand our understanding of the challenges Asian-Americans have faced in America.
