Westchester County will be holding their semi-annual household recycling day at FDR State Park. The shredder truck will be available for use by residents. For questions on what can be accepted, please call the Recycling HelpLine at 914-813-5425.

Learn to make a delicious Mediterranean quinoa salad and pick up tips on how to transform summer vegetables and fruit into delicious salads — all online! Cook along with Vanessa Young of Thirsty Radish, or simply watch the process and make the dish for lunch or dinner later! An ingredient list will be provided in advance. During class, Vanessa will share methods of preparation, ingredient combinations, and dressings for satisfying salads all season long. Family Fun Day is an afternoon that is jam-packed with fun for the whole family, including animals, live music, bubbles, dancing, nature walks, puppet shows, and more! All programming will be outside and culminate in a community Havdalah experience around 4:00 pm. Masks and social distancing required.

Croton Free Library

 

Start the summer season with the library! The Croton Free Library is launching the annual Summer Reading Program on the front lawn with welcome bags, balloons, and buttons — plus the Wanna Empanada truck. All ages welcome.
