Summertime Rocket Show

Join the Village of Croton-on-Hudson as we kick off the 2019 summer entertainment series! Take to the skies as Mad Science explains how and why rockets fly! You’ll witness real model rocket launches that soar into the air and deploy parachutes for their return!

 

Without a Net Concert

Without A Net is a summer jam band playing music from the Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers and more! Come join the jam! Rain date is Saturday, June 29.

 

Croton Reservoir & Dam Hike

Saturday, June 29 – 2 PM

Croton Gorge Park

Easy 2-mile (total) hike north along the Aqueduct and atop the beautiful Croton Dam. Meet near the restrooms at the parking lot at Croton Gorge Park (Note: parking fee of $10 May – Sept.) The leader of the hike will discuss the history and construction of the Old Croton Aqueduct and the features of the Croton Dam, the trailhead of the Aqueduct Trail. The Aqueduct was completed in 1842 to supply water to a thirsty New York City.

 

Roots/Shorashim/Judur – A local Palestinian/Israeli Initiative

Temple Israel of Northern Westchester

Join Shadi Abu Awwad and Hanan Schlesinger as they tell their personal stories and of their efforts to build a better future for their peoples. They come with no ready peace plans in hand, but only with the conviction that human understanding and trust will be the prerequisites for lasting justice, freedom and peace on that tiny sliver of land that they both call home. Croton-on-Hudson Day at Playland

Playland Park

Playland is celebrating your town! With proof of ID, each resident will receive discount coupons when they arrive at the park by going to the Fountain Plaza Administration Building. Discount include on e free mini golf entry, one two-for-one ride admission, one free beach or pool admission, $1 off of one food value meal at one of the following locations – Nathans, Smash n Shake or Pizza Village, and a $5 discount for parking on a return visit to the park.

 

The Force Concert

Friday, July 5 – 7 PM

The Force performs incredibly faithful renditions of rock classics that everyone loves. Covers include U2, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, Eagles and more! Rain location is the PVC Middle School New Gym.

 

Croton Caring Committee 2019 Education Series

The Croton Caring Committee 2019 Education Series presents “Facts and Snacks for Seniors”. The second session of the series is entitled Medicaid and Estate Planning for Seniors and will be presented by Eileen Henry, Esq. of Law Office of Eileen Henry and Lauren C. Enea, Esq. of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP. Refreshments provided courtesy of Bethel Springvale Inn Assisted Living.
