Croton Point Nature Hike

Croton Point Park
 
Take a hike with the park naturalist and learn about Croton Point's birds, animals, trees, plants, Hudson River ecology, history, archaeology and geology. Meet at Treaty Oak site (RV park gate). Ages 6 and up; wear sturdy shoes. Pre-registration required; please call 914-864-5297.

Collin Adkins from Cornell University Ext. will walk us through the various NYSERDA programs which provide financial incentives for residential Energy Efficiency, Solar Energy, and Electrification of Heating with Heat Pumps. Save the Earth and Save Money! The program will also feature a brief update on Croton's Sustainable Programs with Lindsay Audin, Chair of Croton's Sustainability Committee. Sunset Yoga

Sunset Yoga on the front lawn of the Library every Tuesday evening in July! July 13, 20, & 27 from 7:00-7:45 p.m. In this outdoor class with certified yoga instructor Lindsay Fletcher, the focus will be on slow-paced movement and poses. Gentle yoga releases tension in the body and builds flexibility with awareness of the breath. Join us to relax and restore the body as you unwind from the day. All levels welcome! BYO yoga mat or use one from the library! No registration required. Check the website if the weather looks iffy.
 
Summer Movie Series: Secret Life of Pets 2

Join the Recreation Department for the return of the summer movie series! Max and his pet friends explore the idyllic farm they now call home once their owner is absent. Hilarious circumstances ensue as the formerly urban denizens acquaint themselves with their new pastoral neighbors. Free admission.
 
Summer Book Sweep
Saturday, July 17 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Croton Free Library
 
It's the first-ever Summer Book Sweep at the Croton Free Library! For a $5 donation, you will be provided a sturdy Croton Free Library canvas bag. Then you sweep through the used books in the Ottinger Room, filling your bags with as many books as you can fit! Two food trucks will have food available for purchase: - Pizzeria Baci: Wood-fired pizzas from 11:00am-3:00pm; and - R&A Ice Cream: Soft-serve, shakes, and slushies from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy your lunch and your new summer reading on the lawn! While inside the Library, masks are required for anyone age 2+.
 
Squeaky Clean Family Entertainment Series
Wednesday, July 21 – 7 p.m.
Senasqua Park
 
Squeaky Clean will perform musical favorites from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s! Children will love interacting with Squeaky Clean and the adults will love the authentic look and sound! If inclement weather, the rain date will be July 22.
