Croton Community Calendar: January 4th Edition
If you were walking along the OCA trail in Ossining in the 1840s, you might have seen an expanding prison facility on the river when you got to the place that is now Spring Street. Join Dana White, Ossining Board of Trustees, former Ossining Historian, for a talk about the history of the prison and the village. This program was organized by NYS Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. Space is limited and registration is required! Sign up at www.aqueduct.org/events. More info: https://www.crotonfreelibrary.org/event/prison-village
Join us at the Croton Free Library for Rock 'N Roll for Little Ones -- music and movement for kids of all ages! There will be live guitar starting with kids classics such as "Twinkle Twinkle" and American folk songs, then moving onto The Beatles, Chuck Berry, and other rock favorites. Children and caretakers alike -- get ready to sing and dance with Amy Hersh! No registration required! Saturdays from 11:15-11:45am
Check out the Mother-Daughter Book Club at the Croton Free Library each month for a lively discussion and activities related to the book we choose each month. Open to girls in grades 5-8 and their moms (or favorite female grown-up)! Free, but registration is required — please register each adult and child separately. Sign up today at https://www.crotonfreelibrary.org/event/mother-daughter-book-club-2. Email Nikki at nrank@wlsmail.org if you have questions!
