Adults who love picture books: Join fellow fans of children's literature at the Library! The club will read & discuss this year's candidates for the Caldecott Medal — an annual award given to the most distinguished picture book for children. The club will meet on three Thursdays — Jan. 12, 19 & 26 — from 7-8pm to read and discuss the nominees from 2022. The club will watch the Youth Media Awards together live and celebrate with a special breakfast on Monday, Jan. 30 at 8am. Free and open to all adults, but registration is required! OutCasting is a series of public radio programs by LGBTQ+ youth and their allies for the general public with a national reach of 200 radio stations. Lincoln Depot Museum Trip (Adult 60+ Winter Trip)

Join Croton Recreation for a private tour of the Lincoln Depot Museum, which was created from the 3,000 square foot freight and passenger rail depot where President-elect Abraham Lincoln stopped to greet New Yorkers on February 19, 1861 during his inaugural train ride between Springfield, IL and Washington, DC. In February 1898, Croton-on-Hudson officially became a village. Join the Croton 125th Anniversary Committee for a celebration at Croton-Harmon High School auditorium with local and high school musicians and performers, our very own Village Board of Trustees, and Village Historian, Marc Cheshire. There will be music, reenactments, a glimpse of Croton in the late 1800s, cake, refreshments, and more! This event is free and open to the public.
