Croton Youth Lacrosse Registration

Ongoing Event

Registration for the 2019 Spring Season of Croton Youth Lacrosse is now open! Teams play a full season of practices and games in the spring against other local youth teams at age-appropriate levels. Register online at www.crotonyouthlacrosse.org. The deadline for registration is Friday, February 22.

 

Valentine’s Day Mug Cakes

Come spend an hour learning to make a tasty treat in our creative space. Mug cakes are easy personal-sized cakes that you can create in just 5 minutes and you can use the potholders you made last month! Please bring TWO microwavable mugs; make one to eat and one to go! Registration Required.

 

Project FeederWatch

Saturday-Sunday, February 16-17 – 9 to 11 AM

Croton Point Nature Center

Come ID and count birds at the bird feeders at Croton Point Nature Center with volunteers from Saw Mill River Audubon viewing the feeders from inside the Center. Beginners encouraged. Dungeons and Dragons at the Library

Come to learn about the game, develop characters, and start a campaign. Taught by experienced Dungeon Master, Joe Riedel, in the Ottinger Room. For 9th grade and up.

 

FILM: A Raisin in the Sun (1961)

Continue the Croton Reads film series with the 1961 film adaption of Lorraine Hansberry’s famous play, A Raisin in the Sun. The film stars Sidney Poitier as Walter Younger and Ruby Dee as Ruth Younger. Rated PG, 128 minutes.

 

FILM: A Raisin in the Sun (2008)

The last film in the Croton Reads series is the 2008 adaption of A Raisin in the Sun. The film debuted at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and stars Sean Combs, Audra McDonald and Phylicia Rashad. Rated PG-13, 131 minutes.

 

Bird Walk

Come birding with the Saw Mill River Audubon Society! Birders should meet in the main parking lot. Beginners encouraged; no RSVP needed. Walks are held rain or shine! But if road conditions are uncertain on the morning of the walk, check www.sawmillriveraudubon.org or call the office at 914-666-6503 to see if the walk is on.
