Journaling with Seniors
Wednesdays | 12 PM – 1 PM
Croton Free Library, Ottinger Room
Journaling for Seniors is a new program for community seniors offered by the Croton Free Library. This free club offers older adults the chance to express themselves through writing, doodling, and more. No particular writing or art skills required. Supplies is provided. Offered in partnership with Croton Caring. Space is limited to 12 participants, so sign up today.

Croton Point History and Nature Hike
Saturday, December 11 | 9 AM to 11 AM
Croton Point Park
Croton Point Park Naturalist John Phillips and Village of Croton Historian Marc Cheshire will lead a hike to explore Croton Point’s wildlife, trees, plants, history, archaeology and geology. The hike will last roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. This event is free. Meet at the gate to the RV park, where parking is available. Open to ages 6 and up; wear sturdy shoes.
 
Winter Festival with the Croton Free Library
Saturday, December 11 | 10 AM to 4 PM
Croton Free Library
Join the Croton Free Library for their Winter Festival. This event is to feature live music, crafts for kids, a food drive, a book raffle, and a local artisans' pop-up shop for holiday craft shopping. Stop by for hot drinks, snacks, and the return of the Wanna Empanada truck.

Pop-up Shop

Croton Free Library - Ottinger Room
Support local artists and find great handcrafted items for the holidays! Come to the Ottinger Room at the Croton Free Library for this pop-up shop from the Northeast Etsy Artists Collective, featuring jewelry, pottery, art, journals, and more. Check out a full list of vendors on our website: crotonfreelibrary.org. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the library.
 
Police Toy Drive
Sunday, December 12 | 12 PM
Municipal Building, Community Room
Join the Croton Caring Committee and Croton Police Department for their annual holiday toy drive. Please only bring unwrapped new toys. Toys for any age range are welcome. Enjoy a baked treat and a photo with Santa. Social distancing rules will be enforced. All toys will be donated to local children via the Croton Caring Committee’s Adopt a Family program.
 
Sustainable Sunday Speaker Series: COP26 & Hudson National Solar Array

There will be two topics during this meeting. Firstly, Dr. Kevin Cawley representative to the UN, will report on the various aspects of COP26. Secondly, John Ealer of Croton Deserves Responsible Solar will present the group's view on the proposed Hudson National Golf Course solar array.

Croton Academy of Arts Presents Family-Friendly Christmas Comedies, “The Holiday Collection!”
Friday, December 17 | 7 PM & Sunday, December 19 | 3 PM
Croton Academy of Arts, 8 Old Post Road South,
The Croton Academy of Arts (CAA) will present “The Holiday Collection!”, a series of Christmas comedies appropriate for all ages performed by local young actors and actresses.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.crotonacademy.org or at the door. All visitors over the age of 11 must show proof of vaccination and all in the audience must wear a mask.
 
Croton Blood Drive

The New York Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive in the Community Room at the Municipal Building. To remain in compliance with the federal guidelines for social distancing, appointments are preferred. Walk-ins welcome if drive capacity permits.
