Hands-on projects include sand art, friendship bracelets, painting, rain sticks, CD spinners and mosaic sun crafts. Enjoy an introduction to 3-D pen design, CAD drawing and 3-D printing. Town of Cortlandt: Budding Artists (Open to Young Artists Grades K-12)
Submission Deadline: Friday, December 30th, 2022, 11:59 pm
 

The Town of Cortlandt is pleased to launch the open call for its next exhibition at Town Hall! This exhibition will highlight Town of Cortlandt student art works. Titled "Budding Artists", the exhibition selections will focus on the following themes: springtime, awakening, renewal, and the natural world. This exhibition is open to all current Town of Cortlandt students (grades: K-12) of the 2022-2023 school year. The Town encourages all artists to submit up to 3 works for consideration. Eligible Mediums: painting, photography, works on paper, and textiles. Exhibition Dates are February 6 - May 4, 2023. Artist Selections Announced: Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023. Westchester County COVID-19 Booster Clinic

Westchester County is offering the new bivalent COVID-19 vaccine booster. The new bivalent vaccine, which contains pieces of both the Delta and Omicron strands of COVID-19, is designed to provide better protection than previous boosters against the virus. The booster will be available at the Westchester County Health Department Clinic at 134 Court St in White Plains from 9am to 3pm on Mondays and Fridays. Appointments are required – walk ins will not be accepted. Winter Wonderland Drive-thru Holiday Light Extravaganza at Kensico Dam Plaza

Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza has returned to Kensico Dam Plaza with thousands lights and magical holiday animations. Starting Friday November 25th at 6 p.m., the festive celebration takes place five consecutive weeks through January 1, 2023. End times vary per night. Lincoln Depot Museum Trip (Adult 60+ Winter Trip)

Join Croton Recreation for a private tour of the Lincoln Depot Museum, which was created from the 3,000 square foot freight and passenger rail depot where President-elect Abraham Lincoln stopped to greet New Yorkers on February 19, 1861 during his inaugural train ride between Springfield, IL and Washington, DC. After the tour, the group will go to Taormino Trattoria for lunch. Fee: $50 for Village residents, $55 for non-residents. Register online or complete & return this form to the Recreation Department.
