The entries are in and it’s time to vote in Croton-on-Hudson's second Holiday Home Decorating Contest, brought to you by the Croton Recreation Department. This year, prizes will be awarded to the top three Houses receiving the most votes. See the festive entries and cast your vote here.
Croton Business Council Presents: “What’s for Dinner?” Wednesdays
The Croton Business Council has partnered with participating hospitality retailers in the Village for “What's For Dinner?” Wednesdays in an effort to encourage residents to shop and eat local. Retailers offer to-go specials (in-dining and delivery not available) at a discount of 10-30% off menu prices. Dinner specials will be listed on the CBC Croton Business Council Facebook page, as well as various Croton Community pages each week. In-dining and delivery not available for featured specials.

Winter Break Program: Fun with Physics (Grades 1-4)
Get ready for science fun! Perform magical physics demonstrations involving Newton’s laws of motion, electricity, air pressure, ultraviolet light, optics, and more. Build a solar-powered car; experiment with spinning tops, gyroscopic motion, discover principles of flight, and construct a working fountain. Plus, make a solar-powered car to take home with you! Winter Break Program: Mini-Bots & Robotics Explorers (Grades 1-4)
Have fun building, creating and using your imagination. Construct Mini-Bots from a huge selection of robotic modular components, including the NEW Sphero robots. Participate in robot challenges and ramp races. Learn engineering principles along with an intro to coding, in a fun, hands-on atmosphere. Plus, make a Hexbug robot to take home with you! Youth Basketball Clinic at PVC (Grades 1-4)
This is an instructional program designed to enhance the skills of young players in a fun and energetic environment. Participants will develop skills and learn new techniques such as ball handling, passing, shooting and dribbling. Come have fun and take your basketball game to the next level! $55.00 for Village Residents, $65.00 for School Dist/Non-Residents. Adult 60+: Low Impact Exercise
Improve your strength, balance, and overall fitness in this fun exercise class. Experienced senior fitness instructor Lori Barr will guide you through a routine that includes low-impact cardio, strength training with weights and resistance bands, and balance work. $60 Village residents for 8 sessions, $70 School District/Non-Residents. Mobile Shredder @ Croton Free Library
Clean up and clean out your old documents for the new year! The Westchester County Mobile Shredder will be stationed in the parking lot of the Croton Free Library (171 Cleveland Drive) for your use. Each person is permitted a maximum of 4 file boxes, approximately 10” x 12” x 15” each box. All bindings and metals must be removed and no bound or hardcover ledger books are accepted.
