Puppets, Songs, & Storytime with Lori Jo!

Make puppets from favorite characters in stories and songs! We will nurture imagination and creativity in a fun environment, creating puppets of all kinds and using them to act out stories. No registration is required. Please bring a mask. Free and perfect for kids ages 4-8.
Celebrate the End of Summer with Folk Songs on the Lawn!

Join renowned local musicians Peter Calo and Anne Carpenter for an intimate and informal evening. They'll perform both classics and deep tracks from four timeless singer-songwriters: Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Carly Simon, and James Taylor. All ages welcome. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on. Don't forget masks for anyone ages 2+! Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 29 at 7:00 PM. Please check crotonfreelibrary.org in case of inclement weather.

Join the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the continued conversation around systemic, institutional racism with a focus this time, specifically on housing and its role in the wealth gap. This review will focus on certain practices - including red-lining and the administration of the GI Bill - that contributed to a significant wealth disparity between whites and POC that persists today.
