College Essay Help One-on-One, In Person
Croton residents Linda Simon & Christine O'Connor, experienced English teachers and tutors, are offering free sessions in August for students! Get help with starting a college draft, editing a draft, or finishing up the final product. Free and available to any high school senior. To reserve for these sessions, email lindasimon.ny@gmail.com. There is one more in-person session in the library on Aug 24, 4-6 pm., and 30 minute slots for a remote ZOOM session on Wed Aug 30, 5-7 pm. Reservations are required. Full details on library website.
Community Blood Drive
The New York Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive at the Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive, on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Summer Jam with Peter Calo
Celebrate the end of summer with folk songs on the library lawn. Join renowned local musician Peter Calo for an intimate and informal evening, and snack on empanadas from the Wanna Empanada truck.No tickets required. All ages welcome. Interested in becoming a Cub Scout? Come check out Croton Cub Scout Pack 28 at Vasallo Park on Sunday, September 10th, from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Cub Scouts is open to all boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade and offers kids and their families the opportunity to participate in adventures related to nature, hiking, science, citizenship, leadership, and more! The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is pleased to announce that the 5th annual Village-Wide Tag Sale will be held on Saturday, September 23rd. There is a $10 registration fee per household to participate. No listings outside of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson please! A map will be published to highlight each residence that participates.
