Local artists in Croton-on-Hudson are hosting a Spring Outdoor Artfest, offering ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, wood work, soap, lotions, salves, candles, photography, painting, mandala art, baked goods. Plenty of parking. Raindate: Sunday 4/23 11-4.

The April Community Blood Drive will take place at Croton Free Library at 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520.
To sign up call 800-933-2566 visit nybc.org/donate. Appointments are preferred however walk-ins will be welcomed if space permits.  Please remember to eat, drink, and bring your donor ID card or ID with name and photo. 

C.L.E.A.N Croton-Harmon Parking Lot "I" Clean Up

Join C.L.E.A.N for our first clean-up of the year at the Train Station Parking Lot! We'll be focusing on "Lot I" which is adjacent to the wetlands, where there's a ton of plastic waste accumulating. Please bring work gloves and sturdy shoes/boots (waterproof if you have them) and wear a bright colored jacket if you have it. Also, if you happen to have a long net to fish trash out of the water that'd be a huge help! C.L.E.A.N. will provide trash bags, latex gloves, hi-vis vests, and a couple of trash grabbers.For questions, please contact: John Ealer at john@johnealer.com.


National Drug Take Back Day

Croton Police Department is co-sponsoring a Prescription Drug Take Back Day Event to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Turn in your unused or expired prescriptions for safe disposal on Saturday, April 22 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Croton Commons, 175 S. Riverside Drive

Croton Free Library Tiny Art Show Opening Reception

The whole community is invited to the opening reception of the Tiny Art Show on Sunday, April 23 at 2pm, and the canvases will be on display throughout the Library from April 23 to May 23. After the display, all canvases will be donated to the Croton Historical Society.

Sound the Alarm. Save a Life - American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign

This Spring, the American Red Cross is teaming up with communities across New York to install free smoke alarms in resident's homes. 49th Annual Croton Girls Relays

On Saturday, April 29th the 49th annual Croton Girls Relays will be taking place on Spencer Field from 10:00 am through 3:00 pm. Community members are invited to attend as schools from across our region will send their teams to participate in Track and Field events. At 9:00 am there will be youth relay events taking place on the track at Spencer Field. Please contact the Croton Tigers Booster Club for more information about the youth races.


Call for Artists: Village Voices, Croton's 125th Anniversary Art Show
Deadline for submission: May 1st, 2023
 
The 125th Anniversary Committee, in partnership with the Croton Council on the Arts and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Hudson Valley, invites artists to submit work to the upcoming "Village Voices" Art Show, celebrating people and places from the Village of Croton-on-Hudson through photographs, paintings, sculpture, pottery, and more. The show will take place Sat. May 20 thru Sat. June 17 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Hudson Valley (UUCHV), 2021 Albany Post Road, Croton, 10520. A reception will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The reception is free and all are welcome. Artists may submit up to three images of work to the exhibit. There is no charge to submit work, and you need not live in Croton. If your work is selected for the show, you can register online and pay a small fee to exhibit ($10 if you're willing to gallery sit, $15 for seniors, and $20 for all others). Village Historian Marc Cheshire will take us on a tour of Croton at the dawn of the 20th century. See familiar streets and buildings as they looked more than 100 years ago and discover long-lost treasures like Croton’s first train station, the barn at Van Cortlandt Manor, the Gardiner Estate. 125th Anniversary Ping Pong Tournament
Holy Name of Mary Gymnasium, 110 Grand Street

The first-ever ping pong tournament in Croton on Hudson to be held by the Croton 125 committee in conjunction with the USA Table Tennis Association, Westchester Table Tennis, and Ping Pong Parkinson. The event will take place on May 6, 2023 at Holy Name of Mary Gymnasium, 110 Grand Street, Croton on Hudson NY 10520.
