Advisory - Milling & Paving Next Week

Please be advised that milling operations will begin next week in the following areas of the Village:

  • The milling and resurfacing of Benedict Boulevard; the section of Young Avenue between Benedict Boulevard and Devon Avenue; a section of Penfield Avenue between Benedict Boulevard and Oneida Avenue; and South Riverside Avenue from Clinton Street to approximately 300 feet north of Oneida Avenue is scheduled to begin Monday, July 17, 2023. Work will take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m. All cars should be moved off the roadways before the 7:00 a.m. start time.
  • The milling and resurfacing of sections of Grand Street from Mount Airy Road to Route 129, Church Street, and Wood Road is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Work will take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m. All cars should be moved off the roadways before the 7:00 a.m. start time.

These projects will include milling (grinding) of the roadways, followed by the asphalt installation. It is expected that work will be completed within 2-3 weeks. All dates are weather permitted.

During this time, parking on the street will not be permitted. “No Parking” signs will be posted within the construction area. In order to properly and efficiently perform the work, these roadways will be closed during this phase of the project. Emergency vehicles will be allowed access at all times. The temporary detouring of traffic will be necessary.
