9/5 Advisory: Water Main Leak, Grand Street to be Closed from Dummy Light to Mount Airy Road

A water main leak has been detected on Grand Street. The Department of Public Works is working to replace the line, which will involve removing a section of concrete from the roadway. The section of Grand Street from the Dummy Light to Mount Airy Road will be temporarily closed during the afternoon hours of Tuesday, 9/5 to facilitate the concrete removal. The section of Grand Street from the Dummy Light to Mount Airy Road will be closed to traffic all day Wednesday, 9/6, for the installation of the new line. The Department of Public Works will set up a work zone with appropriate traffic control measures. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
