9/11 Remembrance Message from the Mayor

Any American alive on September 11th remembers where they were when they heard the news on September 11, 2001. None of us will ever forget.

The Croton-on-Hudson community continues to remember neighbors, friends and family killed by the September 11th terrorist attacks. After 20 years, we honor the memory of those we’ve lost both directly to the attacks, and over the years due to 9/11-related illness.
We also revere and draw inspiration from the heroism of our first-responders, veterans and military families on that day and the years since.

Tomorrow, Croton-on-Hudson will mark the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 with a joint ceremony with the Town of Cortlandt and the Village of Buchanan. The ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM at Croton Landing by the Reaching Through the Shadow installation. A shuttle will be available beginning at 12:30 PM to the memorial site.

This Saturday, wherever you are, please take a moment to reflect on all those affected by the attacks.

Sincerely,

Mayor Brian Pugh
