Bird Commissioner Cary Andrews reports a sighting of sandpipers foraging on the rocks at Senasqua Park on 9/12/22. They migrate from the arctic tundra to South America and stopped here to feed and rest. The Hudson River is a significant part of the Atlantic Flyway, a major north-south flyway for migratory birds in North America.
